Little puppies are a BIG responsibility! They're not all just adorable little snuggles and kisses. Is your puppy driving you a little crazy? Is he whining, barking, chewing, or eliminating in the house? Well hang in there, because there is hope!

When it comes to puppies, most behaviors that owners view as problems are actually very common and a natural part of a puppy's development. How the owner creates an appropriate environment and addresses the unwanted behaviors, however will have a major impact on your puppy's behavior and development in the future.

We all have some in built survival instincts, that can become so strong they are overwhelming. Sometimes they keep us safe and sometimes they are extreme and turn into phobias where we feel like we are in serious danger when we aren’t.

It makes sense for animals to exhibit more caution. They have had more predators and dangers for longer. They go through fear periods to support their independent periods in order to keep them safe.

To be held by someone and loose choice can already create panic. Then to add something they are unsure of must just be overwhelming.

It might feel like we can help a fear by showing them everything is okay, by applying pressure. But this can damage the relationship and leave your dog or puppy no choice but to lash out.
Instead offer space, choice and an escape route. As if the lead were never there.

For choice and control builds confidence, and tolerance to stress, as well as showing them they have our support when they need it.

Remy was such a good boy for his first massage session! He was a little anxious at first but by the end he relaxed and wanted some more. What a sweet boy. His mama loves him so much!

Today we are celebrating Cody's fantastic progress! I began working with Cody about a month ago. During our time together he has been developing some skills to become better socialized. Although he is still a work in progress, his recall has greatly improved and his less than desirable, frequent barking behavior has significantly decreased. Thanks to his hard-working and dedicated pet parents his behavior continues to improve! Keep up the good work!🥰

Is your family missing that special four-legged member? Bruno might just be the perfect addition you've been waiting for! This adorable 15-week-old terrier hound mix (we think!) is as cute as they come, and he's on the lookout for his forever home.

Bruno's got some impressive long legs and paws, suggesting he'll grow to be around 50-60 pounds. He's a little warrior, having recently overcome parvovirus, and he's now thriving!

This sweet boy is full of love and goofiness, eager to shower his new family with affection. He's well on his way to being house-trained and is already good at signaling when he needs to go outside. Some training and reinforcement are still needed, but he's a quick learner.

Bruno's a playful spirit - he adores his toys and is a pro at catching a ball. He's also eager to make new furry friends and would be overjoyed to have some K9 companions. While he's curious about cats, he'll play only if they're up for it! 😺
