During solar eclipses, when the sky briefly turns dark, dogs may cower, birds stop flying and grow quiet, and nocturnal creatures emerge. ❤️‍🩹

But the bigger concerns for pets are the anticipated mass gatherings. Millions are expected to travel and attend eclipse viewings that will likely provoke strong emotions in humans, which could unsettle animals.

If your dog has ever had a sensitive stomach, diarrhea, or other gastrointestinal issues, have you been told to “feed chicken and rice”?

It’s everywhere. Even conventional veterinarians who are opposed to human food will tell you, “feed chicken and rice“ if your dog has a sensitive stomach, diarrhea, or other gastrointestinal issues.

However, chicken and rice is not always the best choice for sick dogs. It’s more important to make sure to provide adequate nutrition and energy for their recovery. ❤️‍🩹

Got my first set of meals from @colas.kitchen who spent so much time with me to tailor a baseline diet that won’t harm my sh*tty liver (congenital liver fibrosis means a TON of restrictions in both the raw food and kibbles category). I could rant about the equally sh*tty Big Pet Food industry and corporatization of veterinary medicine, but my paws aren’t that dexterous and I’m just glad that a startup like @colas.kitchen exists.
