There are a few things that the volunteers here would like to address with everyone. These are questions/issues that keep coming up, so we thought it best to go over some information here, where everyone can see it.

🐾 WAITING LISTS:
All of our appointments are first come, first serve. We DO NOT offer a wait list of any kind. There are multiple reasons for this, but it is mostly due wasted time trying to contact people who ultimately end up not responding or getting scheduled elsewhere. We are completely run on a volunteer basis & our time is important as well. We do not make any exceptions to this rule. You are free to message us periodically to check in for any cancellations or added availability. We also post updates when we have availability come up or when we open our next month of scheduling.

🐾SCHEDULING:
When you message us to schedule, our volunteers will respond with dates that we have available. We DO NOT have any other availability aside from what we are offering you. We can’t schedule you for a specific date just because that’s when you’re off work, or when you’re free, etc. Our availability is based off of our vet’s availability and what we offer is all we have.

🐾PAYMENTS:
We recently have updated the way payment for appointments works. Due to a major increase in cancellations, no shows, etc. we have started requesting prepayment. (There are certain exceptions for this that can be discussed with Kelly or Kayla). This payment is due no later than 24 hours after you schedule an appointment with us. For example if you schedule an appointment today for 11/20, that payment is still due 24 hours after you scheduled NOT 24 hours before your appointment date. We have been trying to work with everyone on this as it is a new change, but we will be following it more strictly in the coming months. Please be sure to read ALL THE INFO in the emails we send upon scheduling because it contains all of the information about payment & everything else important for you to know before and after your appointment.

This morning we had a kind lady message us to cancel her dogs upcoming spay appointment because she did not have the funds. When we heard that she was going to have to choose between buying her own medication or this appointment, our hearts broke.

These are the families in our community that we enjoy helping the most. We aren’t working as volunteers to provide cheap spay neuter just so people can have a good discount. We do this for the people who truly need us to help their pets and to address animal overpopulation. While we can’t do this for everyone, occasionally there are circumstances that tug at our hearts a special way and deem eligible for sponsorship.

We have enough unread messages in our inbox to say ALL LARGE DOG SPAYS ARE FULL, except maybe a few 5-15 lb dogs for the entire month of November. We can only physically handle a few large dogs in a day so availability is very limited.

We know that’s not a ton of dates, but with the holidays coming up, we are doing the best we can. We also have four days this month allocated to other counties who have been waiting on us to come out!

📣 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT 📣
* ‼️For the foreseeable future, we will be changing the way that we schedule appointments. Effective in November, all appointments will only be scheduled with immediate prepayment.‼️
* This is absolutely something we did not want to do, because we understand that many people need an additional paycheck before they can pay for their appointments.
* However, we are still experiencing more noncompliance with prepay 72 hours before appointments and spending more time than our volunteers can handle (especially heading into the holiday season) by chasing down people to pay.
* We suggest if you do not presently have the funding, to save the funds until the following month when we announce schedule dates and then message us then.
* We are incredibly proud of the work we do in this community, but in order to continue doing this feasibly, we have to make this change. Our volunteers’ time is very valued and we have to respect them.
* Exceptions can be made under extenuating circumstances on a case by case basis, (such as TNR appointments).
* Refunds for paid appointments will be issued if the appointment is canceled with a 7 day notice; otherwise the payment will be forfeited. Only under true emergencies will refunds be issued without proper notice.
* Once the schedule is full, we will still be able to offer occasional appointments when cancellations do occur, so if we can’t get you in when you initially ask, try messaging us again.

Hi guys. This is Kelly. Ive been along the ride for this clinic since opening day, and have poured much of my time as a volunteer into this. All of us spend long hours away from our families to serve our community. We do this to make a dent in animal overpopulation and suffering, and not for financial gain.

Folks, my intentions are not to rant here. But we are going to have to address some housekeeping items.

We are not your ordinary vet clinic and have our own procedures to follow to book appointments. If you want the amenities and conveniences of a full service vet clinic, then you will be best suited to contact your primary veterinarian. We have more limited availability than a traditional vets office for scheduling, for drop off and pick times, for payment, etc. Part of the reason we are able to keep costs low, is because you’re not paying the wages of multiple technicians, receptionists, software, etc. Please respect our process and volunteers accordingly.

1.) We require prepayment for appointments with rare exceptions. If we allowed everyone to pay the day of, we’d never fill our schedules. Our payment methods are via an online form and paypal is utilized to accept cards, but it is not required for you to have a PayPal account to proceed.

2.)We are experiencing a high volume of people messaging to get an appointment, but not following through with registration and prepayment. We are chasing our tails some days making sure everyone is paid and we have a full days work for our veterinary team, who some travel hours to work for us for very little pay.

3.) Thus, we are going be stricter in following our prepay rule of 72 hours before your appointment. We usually also send reminders to those people who fail to pay by the deadlines established in your prepay appointment email as a courtesy, but ultimately it is your responsibility to ensure you have prepaid.

4.) Dog appointments are in HIGH demand and appointments go fast. If you “ghost us” and don’t respond to our attempts to remind you of your appointment, ESPECIALLY for dog appointments, you will no longer be able to schedule with us in the future. We have far too many people wanting these spots for them to go to waste. It is a disrespect to our time and those who want those spots.

5.) READ your instruction emails!! Most all questions you may have are answered in the instruction email we send once we give you an appointment date.

6.) We schedule a months worth of appointments at a time as we get a new schedule from our vets. We post those updates on the page as we get new dates. You will have to follow the page for updates if we don’t have an opening for you. We don’t do a waitlist. We initially had a waitlist but have abandoned that process because so few people called or messaged us back.

7.) If you have made it this far, thank you for taking the time to listen. We have all become frustrated by people not respecting our time. We are still navigating the journey of offering increased appointments to you and to juggle scheduling is a big task. Our phones never stop buzzing for help, but we need you to help us help you.

VACCINE CLINIC!
We will be giving out FREE DHPP and FVRCP vaccines again thanks to Petco Love! This is the LAST time we will have these as this grant has ended.

We will be offering rabies vaccines for $10.

No appointments necessary, but please expect a bit of a wait and do not crowd other dogs in line.
‼️ABSOLUTELY NO RETRACTABLE LEASHES‼️

We often have big turn outs for these clinics so be respectful of our neighbors in Eubank Plaza.

At registration do not bring your pets inside. Please enter the building for check in paperwork and we will utilize a numbering system to call you into the building in order.

Hi everyone, we decided it may be helpful to make a post with important information & FAQs.

First & foremost I want to preface this post by reiterating this: Hope For All Pets, Inc. and our HAPI Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Clinic are ran COMPLETELY as a non-profit and with help from many dedicated volunteers. As such, it may sometimes take a little time to receive a response to your messages. You aren’t being ignored, we WILL get back to you, however it just may take a day or two at times. Please try to be respectful of the fact that we are all volunteering our personal time to try and provide these services to our community & surrounding communities.

I would also like to add that we are NOT a full-service veterinary clinic. We are not always able to accommodate special requests for specific dates or times. Recently we have been able to schedule multiple clinics through out the week & those are the dates that we provide to you all. Spaces for dogs are VERY LIMITED, which means they will fill more quickly, and be booked out a lot further than cat appointments typically. Appointments are filled on a first come, first serve basis.

Now, onto our FAQs:

🐾 What does surgery cost? 🐾
- $45 for cats, $70 for dogs. This price covers: spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccine, FVRCP/DHPP vaccine, and an injection for pain.
🐾 Do you offer low-cost vaccinations? 🐾
- Yes, we are now offering LIMITED appointments during our already scheduled clinic days. Message the page directly for available services & to make an appointment. (Services include vaccines, flea treatments, testing, etc.)
🐾 How can I schedule an appointment? 🐾
- Please DIRECTLY MESSAGE this page. Leaving comments, or reaching out to volunteers personally, can be easily overlooked or get lost in translation. Messaging the clinic page directly is the only way to ENSURE your appointment is scheduled.
🐾 How does payment work? 🐾
- Once you schedule your appointment, you will receive an email which includes a link to our consent forms for your pet. Payment is included through completing this form. Payments are now being required 72 hours prior to your scheduled appointment due to last minute cancellations & no shows. Requiring payment early allows us enough time to fill forfeited/cancelled spots with foster/shelter animals who need surgeries as well.

- Both dogs & cats must be at least 8 weeks old to qualify for surgery.

Hey everyone! Just wanted to drop by and ask for your help, yet again!

We are in EXTREME need of peroxide here at the clinic. We use peroxide for a multitude of things, including cleaning animals after surgery and for our cleaning up our surgical drapes.

So, we’re asking if anyone would like to donate any bottles of peroxide, you can drop them off outside our door at any time and we will get them. You can also bring some when dropping your pets off for surgery, etc.

If you don’t have any peroxide, but you have a stockpile of paper towels, we could also use those as well!

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to make a post to try and keep you all informed as much as possible!

We are currently FULL for DOG SPAY appointments during September. We will have more spots available in October; however, we don’t have those dates scheduled yet. I will make a post letting you all know when we do have availability set for October.

We still have LIMITED appointments for DOG NEUTERS.

❗️❗️And PLENTY of open spots for spays & neuters for cats! ❗️❗️

I just personally wanted to make this post because I know a lot of you have been asking about spays for dogs & I don’t want anyone to think you’re being ignored or turned away or anything like that.

We already have a very small amount of availability for dog spays & neuters to begin with, so the spots fill very quickly. Again, as soon as an October schedule becomes available, I’ll happily start scheduling all those who are in need.

Happy First Day of Winter!
We are now unfortunately closing for the season but will reopen in March 2023, but we are thankful for a successful year of helping our community. We want to thank our veterinarians, donors, and pet owners for making this possible!

We also want to take just a moment and extend an additional thank you to each person who has also been kind to our team of volunteers at clinic! We put in very long hours because we care about your pets, and about preventing unwanted litters from adding additional stress to the animal welfare system. We sincerely appreciate those who take the time to read our wish list and return with gently used towels, a roll of paper towels, and even the handmade gifts some of you have blessed us with!

When we had to cancel clinics in September due to unprecedented illness, we ended up with a backlog of female cats we are still working through, so all female spots are already full, ‼️but we have lots of appointments available for 🐱MALE CATS🐱 for special pricing of $25! Please note this will most likely be our last clinic until March or April 2023 due to closing for the winter. We are unable to do any dog spays or neuters on this particular date.

Our previous post had such an overwhelming response, we are still working diligently to get back to each and every person who messaged us!

We ask that you please be patient, as we only have 2 volunteers who organize this entire clinic, and they do so around their work and family schedules.
Roughly 300 messages came in from pet parents needing appointments. While we will not have room for all of these pets this clinic, we will still get back to you.

Please be aware, appointments are being offered in the order that messages came in. When you sent a message, your place in line was already held.

While we are scheduling these appointments, we are allowing until next Friday, the 16th, for pet parents to submit payment. Failure to do so will result in cancellation of those appointments, potentially reopening appointment slots.

**WHILE WE ARE STILL WORKING ON RESPONDING TO EVERYONE, WE HAD OVER 300 MESSAGES COME IN, SO WE HAVE MORE ANIMALS THAN WE HAVE SURGICAL APPOINTMENTS WE WILL POST WHEN WE HAVE FUTURE OPENINGS.**

-At this time, we are working diligently to get back to everyone who has messaged us for appointments. This post has had an overwhelming response, please be patient with our volunteers as they are trying to respond to each and every one of them.-

Now that we have completed our wait list, we are booking appointments for our clinic on September 23rd. Please read below for details before messaging with questions.

The cost is $40/cat, $60/dog. This is regardless of gender or size, includes a rabies vaccination (for 12 weeks and older) and an FVRCP or DHPP booster vaccine, plus an injection for pain management.
Minimum age for surgery is 8 weeks for dogs and cats. For dogs, we do recommend reaching out to your primary veterinarian with questions regarding the best age for spay/neuter, based on your dog's specific needs.

The current location is TBD, however, this will take place in the Pulaski County, KY area.
Your pet will be dropped off the morning of surgery, then will be returned home later the same day. Pick up times cannot be estimated.
