We have multiple dogs within our community that have vanished without a trace.

Ruby from Peshtigo, WI. Lost on 6/15/2024. German Shorthaired Pointer.

Phoenix from Middle Inlet, WI. Lost on 9/30/2024. Miniature Schnauzer.

Romeo from Crivitz, WI. Lost on 10/19/2024. German Shepherd.

Benji from Wausaukee, WI. Lost on 10/26/2024. Pomsky (Husky/Pomeranian Mix)

These families are absolutely heartbroken that their beloved pets are missing. Please share to raise awareness. Not much can be done without a sighting. Yes Get Toby Home has been contacted. Yes Lost Dogs of Wisconsin has posted. Drone operators were hired. These families have done it all.

Please keep your eyes peeled for any dog that even looks remotely similar. If any of these dogs were stolen, the only way we'll know is if the community reports what they seen.

Hunters and other outdoor enthusiasts: continue to monitor your trail cameras. If walking in the woods and you see something deceased, please check it out. Especially if you see a collar.

There are tons of abandoned and rarely used outbuildings across the county. If you own one of these types of buildings or can get permission from your neighbor to check theirs out, PLEASE do. Dogs gone this long are in survival mode and will be hiding in quiet places AWAY from people.

Do not call or chase any dog you might see! Contact the numbers on the flyers immediately if you have any suspicion that you saw one of those missing dogs. If it's another missing dog outside of this group, file a "Found Dog" report with Lost Dogs of Wisconsin. Take in as many details as you can and if you are able to do so without chasing, snap a photo.

Anyone who walks/runs, rides bike, or cleans up roadways, please, please, please check ditches. Sometimes ditches run so deep that we cannot see down into them from our cars.

To anyone with a Ring Door bell or other security cameras, please watch them. Animals will move at night when they are in survival mode.

Anyone with water and/or food sources should consider placing a trail camera nearby to monitor. These dogs will get water and food anywhere they can. A lot of dogs that have gone missing for long periods of time resort to eating road kill. But watch your garbages/dumpsters as well.

We hope all these dogs make it home safely. Please share 🙏

Please be careful with your dogs this weekend. If loud noises scare them, watch them extra closely. Hunters are sighting in rifles like crazy!!

What an awesome deal! Get your kitties fixed!!!

NEED A CAT SPAYED OR NEUTERED? In collaborating with a community of companion animal lovers for the past 18+ years, one thing that is abundantly clear is the importance of spaying and neutering pets.

During the month of December, our low-cost spay/neuter program has the capacity to "fix" up to 230 cats. The cost to have a cat spayed or neutered is just $100.

We are currently booking appointments for December 5 and December 19. To guarantee your spot (or multiple spots), visit: heanokill.org/catspayneutergb.

We'll keep you updated on our collective progress towards our goal of using every available December appointment (but we'll certainly need your help spreading the word!). 📣

Let's flex the muscle of this pet-loving community and get after this!! 💪💪

How many of us pull our dogs away from things they are smelling on our walks with them? I know I'm guilty. Either in a hurry or I want to get my steps in but really we should let our dogs sniff.

Dogs can get a whole lot of sniffing done in 20 to 30 minutes and be just as tired as an hour walk without sniffing

Yes, you should let your dog sniff on walks because it's important for their mental and physical health:

Mental stimulation
Sniffing is how dogs make sense of the world around them. It's mentally stimulating and can help keep their brains healthy.

Stress relief
Sniffing can help reduce stress for anxious dogs.

Natural behavior
Sniffing is a natural behavior for dogs, and it can help them display less "misbehavior".

Scent is everything
Dogs' primary way of getting information about the world around them is through smell. Their brains are 40 times larger than ours, so they can notice, understand, and appreciate smells in ways that humans can't.

Don't have time for a sniff walk? Simple: hire me!

If you want to offer a naturally enriching, calming, and enjoyable experience, don't stymie your dog's sniffing on walks.

As we are well into the bow hunting season and quickly approaching gun season, here is a friendly reminder to keep your dogs safe from getting loose and potentially going into harms way. There's tons of doggy apparel on Amazon and Etsy. Buying a bright colored bandana or vest would be a good idea for more visibility. And especially watch your pets around dark! People unfortunately take shots after they should not. Stay safe everyone and happy hunting!

It's National Cat Day! Let me see you kitties!

I do not have any cats currently but this is my cat Zoey. He passed away last year and one of his favorite snacks was Cheetos 😆

I have some new followers so I'd like to take this opportunity to mention that I am a volunteer for Lost Dogs of Wisconsin. I am the Marinette County case worker. A dog in the Wausaukee / Amberg area has gone missing. Please find it in your hearts to share!
