3 SAFE PLACE
Your dog might LOVE an enclosed cozy space to retreat to. This could be a closet, a quiet corner or a crate. Make it comforting with blankets and something that smells like you

4 DISTRACTIONS
Mask the sudden booms booms with either soothing music or the TV turned up to the volume that Grandma likes it.
Distract your pets with play time and treats if they are pacing or displaying nervous behavior.

5 ACT NORMAL
Talk to your pets in an upbeat voice and go about your usual activities.
Your pet takes cues from you, if they sense that you're confident and relaxed, they will be more likely to respond in a similar manner.
