‼️‼️ Friends, Family, and Facebook acquaintances: I’m kindly asking for you to share Oberon’s bio so we can get him adopted!

Black dog syndrome is striking down real hard on Oberon because there’s no way someone would look at this dog and not want to take advantage of the fact that he’s young and happy go lucky, he’s potty trained and crate trained, he’s fully vetted, and his adopter will reap the benefits of his $2,500+ board and train program, all for an adoption fee of only $375!!!!

He’s a great dog and deserves an equally great home!!

How is it already December 21st?!?? This month has flown by! Pongo has come and gone, although both Oberon and Felix loved his presence! Yaya was indifferent and Buster hates all new changes (he’s getting to be a grumpy old man as he ages 🤷🏻‍♀️)

Oberon is continuing to settle in nicely! Although I wish he would find his forever home, because he deserves it, especially with the holidays here!!!! I wrote a new bio for the rescue so I’m just waiting for it to be posted to push him out to the world!

Guess who we get to watch for a few days??? Pongo aka Deafy! We fostered him last year for several months before he found the PERFECT home to love him and his special needs (he’s deaf).

Even though Pongo’s been in our home many times before (we’ve gotten to watch him a few times since being adopted) we’re going through our full integration protocol again. Basically, that just means we’re reintroducing him slowly to ensure success while he’s here. Part of that process is going on walks together one at a time, where the dogs can be near each other, smelling each other but not directly interacting. Oberon’s kennel is side by side to Pongo’s kennel, so we started our walks with him first.

Poor Oberon has kennel cough (that’s the wheezing in the video) but thankfully he’s being put on some meds and will be feeling better before you know it!

Ps. Don’t mind grumpy Buster in the background who is jealous mom is giving her love and attention to the new guy.

Oberon’s meet and greet decided to adopt a different dog, but that’s ok because his forever home is out there!! He’ll have a home here until we find them!!

Until then, he can help me cook dinner! Him chilling next to me is a BIG deal because he had a ton of energy and anxiety when we picked him up. But as he’s acclimating to a home that accepts him as part of the family, he’s learned to relax because he gets his exercise, his mental stimulation, his training, and all the love = he can feel calm and relaxed!

Oberon’s meet and greet was good in the sense he got to meet new people and practice people approaching him directly. Butttttttt he’s still timid interacting with new people. I did mention that he’ll need several meet and greets before being able to go home with them, so we’ll see if they want to make that worthy investment!

We’ve had this big boy for over a week now and my official assessment: he’s a real good boy! He knows his skills, loves dogs, is happy-go-lucky, and desperately just wants love and affection. He’s a little shy meeting new people but does warm up quickly, especially when treats are in hand!

Football day is a great day to practice “Place” with Oberon!

Please help us welcome back, Oberon! We fostered him and the Moon litter back in the summer of 2021. We didn’t get it right as far as picking out his forever home the first time around, so we agreed to take him back and help him find his real forever home!

She’s doing so well and thriving in a whole new place! We miss her so much but sometimes the best thing for your foster is to be in a new situation.

Day 42 (yesterday) - Since I’ve been down and out poor Dylan drove the litter all over getting shots and pictures taken. But they turned out so great!!! 😍

Dylan dropped Momma Moon off for spay so she never has to have another litter ever again! She can live the life she deserves. She can live her life spoiled and childfree, which are honestly my life goals too 🤣
