Kitty Climber Cat Rescue of Northern Vermont launched in early 2022 by avid recreational tree climber, and part-time tree worker, Judson Kimble of South Burlington, VT. Most cats are able to climb down out of trees on their own, but not all cats. Often they are chased up a tree by a dog or wild animal, and adrenaline will send them high up into the canopy, but if they are an indoor cat that happen

ed to get loose, or just new to the outside world in general, they may not yet know how to climb down a tree. Cats claws function directionally- which is why they are so skilled at going up a tree, but they don't work the same way coming down, and not all cats know that they need to climb down backwards in order for their claws to engage properly/safely. All cats deserved to be rescued, and Kitty Climber Cat Rescue operates on a donation-basis. Based out of Burlington, Vermont, and serving the surrounding area within a one hour radius. If you live farther away, and have a cat in need, a travel fee will be asked for in addition to a donation. Kitty Climber Cat Rescue is also available to recover drones that get stuck up in trees. Please send some photographs of your cat/tree situation via text/email/messenger when reaching out about a rescue, as it is very helpful in determining what equipment will be needed for the rescue.

Little 1-year-old Obi spent a cold night stuck up around 35' in a maple tree in Williston, VT. He is a very sweet cat, and was very easy to work with.
