Thank you to those who were able to make it out to our Pumpkin Picking and Painting event last weekend! We had a great time working on neutrality and duration skills with our dogs while practicing our artistic skills! Everyone got snacks, took pics in the photo booth, and enjoyed great company!

Gotta love the unnecessary comments from the peanut gallery.
Believe it or not, these are all comments I heard within 1 hour of walking on a single trail.
While none of it is malicious, and more than likely, just someone awkwardly trying to be friendly, I definitely get why many of my clients don't feel comfortable walking their reactive dogs in public. When they're approached and bombarded left and right by people feeling like they just need to say something, it can be extremely frustrating to navigate with a reactive or fearful dog.
And trust me, a big scary dog doesn't help. You just get more comments about how you don't look capable of handling them.
What sort of weird things have people said to you while walking your dog? Let me know in the comments!

It's fall, y'all.
But seriously, this is probably my favorite time of year, and I'm so glad these two are willing to humor me with photo shoots everywhere we go.
We are so excited for all the fall events we have planned this year and can't wait to share them with friends, family, and clients!

We have a lot happening next month, and I want to make sure everyone is able to keep track of our events schedule!
Our first event is going to be Pumpkin Picking and Painting with on October 5th at 11:00 am. Please RSVP if you would like to join. Tickets are $30.00/person
Our second event is the October Pack Hike at Hacklebarney State Park, followed by treats at the Hacklebarney Cider Mill.
We will meet at 9:00 am on October 12th at the trailhead. This event is free and open to everyone, but please RSVP.
Our final event of October will be the annual Walking Ghost Tour through New Hope, PA, with .
We will meet at the Logan Inn at 10:00 am with a promt start at 10:30 am on October 26th.
Tickets are $25.00. This event is open to everyone.

We are so excited to announce the details of our newest October event!
Canine Potential NJ and are collaborating to bring you our newest October event: Pumpkin Picking and Painting with the pups!
We will be meeting on October 5th at 11:00am (exact location will be given upon RSVP).
This event will involve your pup getting to pick out their pumpkin from the pumpkin patch, and we will then paint portraits of our pups on the pumpkins!
There will be a photo booth, goodies, and an opportunity to practice your dog's obedience in a controlled setting!
This event is only open to clients of Canine Potential, and tickets are $30.00/person.

Our final October event is our annual Dog Friendly Private Walking Guided Ghost Tour through New Hope, PA, on October 26th hosted by ! This is a private guided tour that will start at the Logan Inn in Downtown New Hope, PA, on October 26th. We will meet at the Cannon on the corner of Ferry St. and Main St. at 10:00 am. The tour will start PROMPTLY at 10:30 am! Parking will be street or paid parking lots.
Tickets are $25.00 per person and can be paid via venmo (-port) up until October 18th, at which point RSVPs will end, and I will need to submit a final headcount.
The tour will take place in and around downtown New Hope, PA, and along the canal path.
Costumes are welcome and encouraged!!!
Our Pack Hike rules will apply for this event as well!
1. Please keep your dog on a 6-foot leash or shorter at all times.
2. No, on leash greetings between dogs.
3. Not touching someone's dog without permission from the owner.
4. Please keep your dog under control at all times.
5. Please pick up after your dog.
Everyone is welcome to join, and we are so excited to work with the folks at Ghost Tours of New Hope again! We can't wait to see everyone there!

We have some exciting events coming up this October! One of the big ones is our annual trip to Hacklebarney State Park!
This trail is one of the longer and more difficult trails we do at 3.7 miles with uneven terrain. Make sure you have a solid pair of hiking boots for this, and be sure to bring enough water for your dog. We are starting at 9am this year (earlier than last year), and I'm anticipating that we will finish the hike by 11/11:30.
But what's a difficult hike without a reward or sweet treat at the end? Everyone is welcome to join us after the hike at the Hacklebarney Cider Mill and Farm for cider donuts and fresh pressed apple cider!
Please note that dogs are welcome on the property but are not allowed inside the farm store.
This hike is by far my favorite, and I hope you all enjoy it too! We can't wait to see everyone there on October 12th at 9 am!
Please RSVP so I know you'll be there! And please keep our group rules in mind!

If it isn't obvious, R***r is here for refresher boarding! R***r has been doing virtual private lessons all the way from Massachusetts, and he is boarding with us this week while his parents are on vacation! While he's here, we will get him started on the ecollar, he will learn an "out" command, and we will work on building his confidence and through some of his anxiety! We are soooo excited to have R***r and can't wait to see his progress!
