The holidays can come with a lot of stress. Maybe all of your seasonal commitments make you long for something a little more temporary...
Try out fostering a cat for Rosie's! Rosie's will provide all of the supplies, medical care, and support you need, while you sit back, relax, and simply give a feline friend a place to stay while we search for their new home.
Rosie, pictured below, would love to share your home for some time during this cold winter season, while she searches for a home to call her own! (She's also available for adoption too!)

We are excited to introduce you to the newest member of Rosie's Pet Rescue, none other than Rosie!
Rosie comes to us looking for a quiet home with someone that wants to spoil her. She might be able to live with a cat-savvy dog that can respect her space, but would also enjoy being the center of attention as an only child!

We want to thank everyone that came out to Lansing Brewing Company last month to our trivia fundraiser AND, we want to thank everyone who has sent Rosie's a donation through Chewy! All of our donations go directly to cats in our care or back into our community so we couldn't do what we do without all of your support.

We had a quiet summer, but have some fun things in works for this fall, so stay tuned!

Join us at the Lansing Brewing Company on July 19th for Quiz for a Cause, hosted by Geeks Who Drink. There is no fee to participate in the trivia fun, but all donations go to Rosie's, and donations will earn you the chance to win some great prizes!

Trivia takes place from 7-9 p.m.

What an exciting week! We have had not one, but TWO cat's adopted. And while we might be able to use the phrase "foster fail" in both of their cases, we are thinking it would be best described as a big success! Congrats to both Fred and Alfie for making their foster stays permanent 😊

We are so happy to announce that our sweetest brave girl, Aurora, was adopted yesterday! Biggest congratulations to her and her new family.

Kiwi and Pilo are still available for adoption, and we just can't understand how nobody has scooped them up!
These boys have it all! They will make the most perfect TV watching companions with their snuggles but will also keep you entertained with their playful personalities.

This laid-back lady is looking for a quiet home, where she can be given plenty of time to shine. We hear from her current foster home that she is a great work from home partner, though she does require some petting breaks, and loves to play!

Meet Rosie's Pet Rescue's newest member, Alfie! This young lady took a couple of weeks to settle in to her foster home, but her foster has updated that she is really coming out of her shell. Her previous home reports that once comfortable, she is a silly lady that enjoys playing with her favorite people and snuggles (on her terms of course!). Stay tuned for more Alfie posts and updates.

Happy Thanksgiving!

We hope you enjoy your Thanksgiving feast as much as Percy enjoys his Churu treats!

Let's talk about licki-mats! Licki-mats, like the one shown below, are a great way to add some fun variation to your cat's life! Add your cats favorite lick-able treat or canned food to the mat and let them do the rest. Licking can be both soothing and enriching for your cat and is an excellent way to keep them busy for a few minutes. Fisher has found that a licki-mat with some canned food is also a fun way to build confidence! Keep checking out our page for more fun enrichment and training ideas for your feline friend! Fisher has been our biggest transformation to date! He started out as our shy cat who stayed far away from everyone in his safe spot in the closet, and now his foster can't even do zoom calls in his room because he demands attention! When he gets adopted, it will take him a little longer than everyone else to adjust to his new home, but we promise that if you give him that time and are extra patient, the personality that comes out at the end of the tunnel is so worth it! It is confirmed that the way to Fisher's heart is through food! Lickmats are a great way to switch up your cat's (or dog's) daily routine! They help extend mealtime which not only occupies them longer, but it slows down how quickly they are consuming their food. The different groves also make it more challenging for them to get all of the food out. This engagement keeps them mentally stimulated while they are eating and helps prevent against mindless snacking! Do you do anything to change up your pets mealtime routine? On Saturdays we work on target training! Kit Kat said she is happy to keep practicing if that means she gets more canned food! You can see her enjoying her reward every time she makes contact with her target. It's amazing what both cats, and dogs, can learn do when they are treat motivated and are positively reinforced!
