Did you know 40% of dogs and cats experience some level of pain due to Osteoarthritis (OA)?

OA is arthritis that develops when protective tissue in the joints deteriorates, leading to friction between the bones. Pain from OA can decrease your pet’s willingness to play or exercise.

Happy Friday everyone, this months paw plan pet of the month is Toby🎉. Toby is 12 years old, almost 13 and has had unbelievable health issues as a pup with us all these years, but has taught us so much about grace in hardship. When he is in pain he looks at us as if saying “ I know you.. and only the simple love you have for me is all I ask. “. We Love him in return without reservation and always will.
Because of all of his serious health issues and his strength and perseverance Dr. Harris has dubbed him “ The Tobinator”.
His resilience is constant Love through whatever ails him has made us love him everyday more and more . We are privileged to grow old along with our best of a friend. Even with everything Toby has gone through there is one adorable habit he has had since a young pup. Toby will not go for a walk without choosing, ever so carefully, a particular stuffed animal to go along for his walk. Toby’s parents love him for this habit as well.

September is Leukemia & Lymphoma Awareness Month, and we want to remind our pet parents the importance of wellness visits, no matter the pet’s age.

Attending a wellness visit 1-2 times a year, along with routine bloodwork, helps our team to identify potential problems early and provide timely intervention.
