A happy customer with his whitetail deer backpack mount! I put the mount together and attached to the pack board. He brought the lantern, blanket, and traps. We put those on for the final touches and altogether made for a great new piece of home decor!

Another beautiful mule deer mount. I love how the heavy dark antlers flare out on this buck. Not often do customers choose a "sneak" form for mule deer but when they do, it turns out to be a really great pose.

Recently completed this duo from Hawaii. A very unique drop antler axis buck and a great mouflon ram! I certainly enjoy mounts that involve artistic design.

Axis deer are, in my opinion, perhaps the most beautiful and unique deer on the planet. I have had the privilege to hunt them on my own in free range landscapes. These two axis bucks came out of Hawaii and it was a fun experience to recreate them!

Great to see some success with Montana's first muzzleloading "Heritage Hunt"

The first Montana traditional muzzleloader season was a success for Robert and came with a great story.

Got it done opening weekend of Montana's first Heritage Hunt. Pursued both whitetails and mule deer and put on close to 20 miles of hiking. Finally shot this buck at 55 yds with my T/C Hawkin, 50cal, roundball.

The heritage muzzleloader hunt is the product of legislation earlier this year and the recent adoption of regulations by the Montana Fish and Wildlife Commission.

Hunters, you now have the opportunity to participate in the 1st ever "Montana Heritage Hunt"!!
This hunt is for traditional sidelock muzzleloaders (Black Powder). Season starts December 11th and ends December 19th. If you have a deer or elk tag left over from General season you can use it in this hunt.
Here is a buck I shot last year with a muzzleloader.

Happy customer recently picked up his prized bison mount!
The horns on the skull are actually reproduction horns I molded off of the original horns that we used for the mount.

Whopper Montana whitetail!!

The more "relaxed" pose. One ear partially back and one ear more fully back. I am finding, that many hunters are choosing this relaxed pose. This is a wopper eastern Montana buck I recently completed!

In all my years of taxidermy, bear shoulder mounts seem to be less common than half mounts and life size bears. However, I really like them!

I have always loved how the stripes come together on a zebra rug. Most of the time the face is laid flat, however this customer wanted a partial head mounted inside the rug. I think it turned out really neat!

Although much more difficult to mount, African game is some of my favorite. I love the various colors, body styles, and overall uniquness of African game animals.
