Shadow (and the rest of his litter) will already be 1 in November! I can hardly believe it.
Also-we are not being MIA on purpose…lots going on over here lately and I am HORRIBLE at posting! But everyone is alive and well.

Updates like this reassure us that we pick families that love our babies just as much as we do and that our hard work pays off. Implementing schedules and routines from day one makes transitions so much easier! People underestimate how much can be done when the puppies are “so young”!

Attention puppy families:
A lot of puppies are timid and scared of loud noises and especially blowers and vacuums….NOT YOURS. They are literally cracking us up. I turn on our shop vac many times a day to clean up after these nuggets and it is literally a race to the blower out the back! 🤣🤣

As we enter into our last full week with the babies it always brings so many emotions…most of which are very bittersweet. All the messes and exhaustion and yet it is SO hard to see them go. We are so blessed to get to love on these little nuggets with the short time we have, and now we are close to passing on that joy to their amazing families! Vet appointment, paperwork and go home packs, and baths have us a busy week ahead!

I hope everyone’s Sunday has been (and continues to be) amazing! These cuties are 4 weeks old tomorrow and just get cuter every day! They have started their litter/potty training, eating soft food, and playing with toys. This week and next are always our FAVORITE stage! They are so much fun.

#waterdoggies He’s been stoked about the good weather sticking around more and more. He also empties the water bowls out about as fast as I can fill them just for fun. Do you see why I can’t keep water in the house?!

I think Shadow is enjoying his spa day a little TOO MUCH. Stoked to be able to show off our new dog wash station soon! It’s almost wrapped up completely but we got to test it out finally!!!

We would formally like to introduce everyone to Duncan and Darcy’s absolutely perfect little nuggets. 5 boys and 5 girls…I am still in disbelief that both litters have been split evenly with genders. Individual mug shots will be coming on Wednesday at 1 week old! Until then, there will be plenty of puppy spam…you can count on that!

Another!!! Lacey Hodgson and Ranger are killing it!!! These kind of updates make our newly quiet and a little empty house worth it!

Don’t you tell me they are too young to be trainable at 8 weeks….you guys…this is less than 24 hours of Poppy and McKenna Press being home and there’s already 3 other commands I have seen videos of. Get itttttt!!!!! #ilovethesedogs

It’s a perfect night for ice cream sandwiches and puppies.

Sneak peek of our sweet babies! Sadly we lost our sweet little runt about 24 hours in after doing everything we could. The most AWFUL and heartbreaking part about breeding. But the other 11 little brothers and sisters are doing so well so far. Current situation...milk bar for 10 gets a little crowded for 11 little wiggle butts. Our sleep deprived hearts are just overflowing over here.

In the Giver house we have come accustomed to wet kisses, never-ending games of fetch, disturbing amounts of hair, and everyday life surrounded by the best dog breed God ever created. OK....we may be a LITTLE biased on that one. We have two amazing daughters, and three dogs, of whom we see and love as just another kid. They are pretty much the same anyway. Needy. Stubborn at times. They make messes. They know how to lay it on thick when they want something. Love adventures. They have unconditional love.

In 2010 we welcomed our first Golden Retriever in the family. I couldn’t describe a better boy in my wildest imagination. The perfect model of a Golden Retriever. Then in 2016 little brother came into the picture...let’s be honest...he kind of took over the picture! But he stole our hearts before we could even blink and still has that effect on anyone he comes in contact with. And just recently in 2019 Miss Darcy has (finally) brought a little more estrogen into the house. We waited and searched a LONG time for the perfect little girl and let me tell you...she was worth the wait.

All together we are one big, crazy, chaotic, beautiful family and we are so excited to share the joys of this journey with family and friends alike. If you have never owned a Golden Retriever, I hope that you one day have the privilege. Whether it be through us or not makes no difference to me. It’s hard to find a “bad” Golden. They will enrich your life in any form fully and completely.

We are committed to raising healthy and happy dogs and will never settle for anything less.
