Okay actually advertising him now instead of just posting him and not replying to anyone lol.
To know him is to love him.🪿🤍
Goose is a 2023 AQHA (papers are being sent in) dark red roan c**t with plenty of splash and blue eyes. He should mature at around 15.1hh and be as wide as he is tall. This guy is thick.
You won’t find another c**t as pretty, well put together and good minded as him as this price.
Tie him between two mares and I’ll bet you $10 he won’t make a sound.
He’s quiet, friendly, easy to handle, will stand tied all day, great with the farrier, worming, loads up in any trailer and hauls great, loves dogs (probably because he thinks he is one), I could go on about this guy, I absolutely adore him.
He comes with a couple party tricks too!!
He just turned a year and 3 months so he doesn’t have much longer until he’s ready to be started under saddle, this guy wants to be good and I have zero doubt he will be just that.
I’ll even put his first 60 days on him for the free to whoever buys him.😉
He also carries the SW1 gene which essentially means he may transmit a splash white variant to 50% of his offspring.
That being said, make him a real nice ranch stud or an even better gelding that you can go do anything with, this guy is going to excel in whichever direction he goes in!!

Let’s talk about EPM in horses
Three bases we’re going to cover here
-What is EPM?
-How it presents itself
-How to treat/avoid it

Equine Protozoal Myeloencephalitis (EPM) is a protozoal parasite called Sarcocystis Neurona. Thankfully horses are known as the “dead end” host so it cannot be passed from horse to horse but unfortunately they can get it from opossum’s, skunks, cats and even armadillos. Horses can come into contact with it either from grazing, contaminated water or feed.
Once ingested, the parasite gets into the bloodstream and crosses the brain barrier where it will attack the central nervous system.
Signs your horse has EPM:
Ataxia, no coordination and weakness, muscle atrophy, head tilt, abnormal sweating, seizures, poor balance, etc.
Over 50% of all horses are exposed to EPM but only a select amount actually develop the disease. Stress, a weakened immune system, etc will make your horse more susceptible to developing EPM.
It can remain dormant for years until a horse starts showing symptoms so it’s smart to get your horse routinely looked at especially if you’re in a higher risk state!!
I personally treat my horses for EPM yearly, some will agree some won’t. If you choose not to, make sure your troughs are routinely cleaned, feed bins are sealed and your pastures are kept up with!!
Those are all a given regardless but EPM is a debilitating disease and the little extra step could be just what your horse needs to not develop it!!
Fortunately, there is a treatment plan for EPM. Though it’s not cheap, it is pretty effective if caught early enough.
And of course, a lil pic of two of my favorite geldings.

I’ve gotten a lot of questions asking if it’s hard to lie one down and if it’s a stressful process for the horse.
The answer is no!!
The point of lying one down is for it to be stress free to get them to trust you and be less reactive overall.
If your horse is getting anxious and fighting you then you’re not doing it right.
This is Goose’s second time working on this, he’ll be a year in May. Mind you he was 100% feral and unhandled 5 months ago.
He didn’t get this easy going and quiet by forcing him to lie down and being tough on him.

Let’s talk about equine ulcers!!
Ulcers can present themselves in so many ways. Here are some.⬇️
-Pain
-Decreased appetite
-Weight loss
-Colic
-Behavioral changes (Cribbing, bucking, biting, kicking)
Any horse is at risk of developing EGUS (erosions in the lining of the stomach wall).
But, their breed, diet, workout routine and water intake normally depends on how in jeopardy they are.
Example, if your horse is stalled 24/7, worked hard 6 days a week and is on limited hay, I can almost guarantee he’s going to develop ulcers a lot quicker than a horse that is turned out on pasture, has access to hay whenever and is worked only 3 days a week.
This year alone I have worked with 5 horses that were labeled as “mean” and “having behavioral issues”. The moment I checked their ulcer points and saw how sensitive they were while also looking at all the other signs, I recommended they talk to their vet and get them treated. After treatment they were entirely different horses.
Calm, relaxed and ready for work.
As a horse should be!
That being said. If you’re on the fence about whether you should treat your horse or not, call your vet and do it.
Majority of the time your horse doesn’t have an attitude issue for no reason.
It all goes back to gut health, and if not gut health, there’s usually some other underlying issue going on.
(You cannot treat hind gut ulcers with ulcer-guard omeprazole either, only Sucralfate which you can only get prescribed by a vet.)
If you have any questions about equine ulcers, how to go about treating them and what other signs to look for, message me!!

Let’s talk about gut health and a good feed program!
Everything goes back to gut health and when a horse is in a lesser than condition you can’t expect them to ride good if they don’t feel good. Your horses hooves don’t grow, their coat is dull and they have no energy?
Change. Their. Diet.
They’re cinchy, anxious and are unenjoyable to ride?
Again. Change. Their. Diet.
Here’s a couple before and after pics of some of the horses that have been in my training program. 3/4 of these horses were on a decent feed and their owners take the best care of them but there is so so much more that goes into it all. No, my feed routine doesn’t consist of 100 different supplements and all the popular products out there.
It’s quality free choice Alfalfa/O&A and a great feed that keep them looking and feeling their best.
The difference you will see in your horses physical condition and disposition is remarkable!! So before you label your horse as mean, gangly, having a bad attitude or just plain out ugly, think about changing their diet!!

Lil guy got lied down today!!
Goose will be a year old here in a couple weeks and he couldn’t be a better behaved C**t.
Took him about 5 minutes to catch on.🩵

Teaching your youngins to lie down can be so beneficial, here’s some reasons why:
•It helps make them more quiet
•It establishes a whole new level of trust
•It teaches them to think through things instead of reacting first
By putting a horse in one of their most vulnerable positions it teaches them to be relaxed instead of fearful in situations where they don’t have a whole ton of control. I don’t pull them down, there’s no force, It’s simply just letting the horse believe that is what they want to do.
Not only does it make your horse more confident and less reactive but overall makes a more trusting horse that will think first.

A month ago when I started working with Callie she wouldn’t even let you touch her belly without her biting and trying to kick you.
When you’d get after her she would start biting wood to try and prepare herself for the pain to come.
Everyone just thought she was a “mean mare”.
After 3 weeks of ulcer treatment and lots of groundwork I was able to put my second ride on her today.
She went from again, biting and kicking whenever she was saddled to letting me put it on with her ears perked up and ready for what’s next. This mare is SO willing and I’m so happy with the progress she’s made in the last month.
