Causes for anxiety are:
Fear, separation, and aging.
Although Fear and separation are anxieties that we see often through all dog breeds and all ages, let's talk about the anxiety that comes with aging.
Anxiety in older dogs is often a result of cognitive decline or Canine Cognitive Dysfunction (CCD) with loss of senses and mental sharpness; older dogs may become more easily scared, startled, or nervous.
What is CCD? Well basically CCD is like dog Alzheimer's disease. The brain gradually degenerates which then leads to abnormal and senile behaviors. Most common in dogs older than 9 years old.
CCD is present in 25% of dogs in ages 11 to 12 years of age and in 70% of those in ages of 15 to 16 years of age..
Sadly, there's no cure for this degenerative disease, but adding natural ingredient supplements can help decrease symptoms and the stress and anxiety associated with the disease.

It is a cat’s instinct to hide or mask its pain, making pain difficult to diagnose.
Here are some things your cat may do if they are painful:

🐈Vocalizing. You may notice your cat meowing more or you may also hear her purring at times you would not normally expect it.

🐈Changes in activities of daily living. You may notice pacing or restlessness because your cat cannot find a comfortable place to lie down; or repeatedly get up and lie down in an attempt to find a comfortable position.

🐈Changes in daily habits. Most cats who develop painful ( i.e. osteoarthritis ) stop grooming themselves as well as they used to. They may also stop using the litter pan since climbing in it, causes them pain. You may see accidents in softer areas like rugs and towels

🐈Changes in facial expressions. Cats who are painful may develop a facial expression that could be described as a grimace🥺

🐈Uncharacteristic aggression. A painful cat who has previously been very friendly and gentle may begin to act completely out of character like growl, hiss, sweat at you when wanting to pet them or redirect that aggression towards a housemate.

🐈Abnormal postures. A painful cat may stand with her front legs back under her chest in order to take some of the weight away from painful hips or rear legs.
