Fourth of July is just around the corner. Here are 5 tips to make the fireworks less stressful for your dog!

1. **Create a Safe Space**: Make a quiet, comfortable area for your dog where they can hide from the noise. This could be a crate, a separate room, or a corner with their favorite toys and blanket.

2. **Distraction**: Try to distract your dog with a new chew toy or their favorite game. This might help take their mind off the loud noises and unexpected flashes.

3. **Calming Aids**: Consider using products designed to help calm dogs, such as a ThunderShirt, calming collars, or diffusers that release dog-appeasing pheromones.

4. **Desensitization**: Prior to the event, play fireworks sounds at a low volume and reward your dog for staying calm. Gradually increase the volume over several days or weeks.

5. **Consult a Vet**: If your dog has severe anxiety, it may be best to talk to your vet. They can provide you with additional strategies or recommend medication if necessary.
