1.The 4th of July is when most dogs get scared & run.
2.kids are home for summer & doors get left open.
3. Families visit & with extra people, animals can slip out.
4. You go on vacation & leave your pet in someone else's care & they aren't as attentive or know your pets routine.
5. You take your pet on vacation & they run in the unfamiliar area
6. Thunderstorms scare your dog
7. Gates blow open
8. Tornados happen & animals run
9. Your pet is with you & you have an accident & they escape
10. Kearney Rescue Cats is doing microchips for $25 .....
11. We will come to your house to do cats as our volunteers time permits

Georgette was previously adopted. A volunteer saw a picture of a found cat in Lexington.....it was a gut feeling that cat needed to come to Kearney Rescue Cats . Arrangements made. Took to vet clinic, very friendly cat. Vet clinic in Kearney scanned & found a microchip registered to KRC. Georgette went right back to her original foster who bottle fed her.......and that foster kept her until a perfect home came along!
