K9 Mobile Rehab Traveling rehab practitioner in RI and MA. At home care, where your pet is most comfortable. CVT CCRP In 2002 Cherie tore her ACL.
(7)

Ever since Cherie can remember, she has had a passion for animals and especially dogs. She went to physical therapy before and after her surgery. This is where she found her love for PT. In her senior year at college, one of her internship rotations was at Sterling Impression. That experience brought together her love of dogs and physical therapy. Leaving that rotation, she definitively knew she w

anted to become a CCRP. Cherie graduated with a bachelor of science degree in Veterinary Technology from Mount Ida College. She then went on to pass the Veterinary Technician National Exam (VTNE) to become a certified veterinary technician (CVT). Once she obtained that, Cherie went to the University of Tennessee and received her Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner (CCRP) degree. Both her CVT and CCRP were accomplished in 2011. When Cherie graduated from Mount Ida College she worked at VCA Weymouth in the emergency department for just under a year. In 2011 she started working at Sterling Impression Animal Rehab Center in Walpole, MA. In 2018 Cherie became the manager of Sterling. In 2022 Cherie started up her own business named K9 Mobile Rehab. Cherie has enjoyed continuing her passion for canine rehab by being able to go to clients homes. The owners and their pets enjoy having Cherie go to them in the comfort of their house. Cherie resides with her wife and has two cats and a bunny. On her off days she enjoys playing volleyball, bike riding, kayaking, hiking, and camping.

Henry enjoyed his laser therapy at home!

Dogs with suspect Degenerate Myelopathy (DM) do well with regular laser therapy sessions to help slow down the disease process by activating neurons in the CNS.

Laser therapy is non-invasive treatment that can make a difference. I'm happy to help Henry adjust to assisting modalities and tools that will help him go for walks and have continued independence! Good job Henry!

Gus did great in his cart for the first time! It will take a lot of positive reinforcement, some good snacks and maybe a distracting squirrel until he realizes he can zoom around! After acclimating to his cart, I think he is going to love it! His owners say he is the most wild out of their 3 dogs and I just can't wait to see him running around again! You got this Gus!

You've probably heard the phrase, “Better safe than sorry.”👂

As a veterinarian who has worked in an emergency hospital, I firmly believe dog parents should live by this motto. 💯

Whether your dog spends their days sleeping on the couch or hiking in the mountains, accidents can happen anytime and anywhere. Being cautious and taking the proper precautions can go far, but at the end of the day, an accident is just that—an accident. 🏥

Pet parents should have the supplies (and knowledge) to handle common doggy emergencies.
One of the best ways to do this is by having a dog first aid kit and knowing how to use it. ✅

In today’s article, DIY Dog First Aid Kit, you'll learn just that...

Thor graduated from rehab! He was referred for hind end weakness. We focused on pain relief for his hips and lower spine and Thor worked on some strength training exercises. He can get up and down the stairs better, and get into a sit position with ease now! Great job Thor, so happy for you!

Whitney graduated from rehab!!!

She tore her CCL and had a suture repair. She has had one of the best recoveries I've seen. I give her mom credit for having Whitney do pre-hab while she was waiting for surgery and starting asap again after surgery!

Congrats Whitney! 🎉
