How truly tiny this little warrior is amazes me, but he’s making slow and steady progress!!! He had his 1st post-hospital discharge appt today for follow up bloodwork. He’s gone from 6.9 pounds to 9.7 pounds and his blood work has improved tremendously. He is still considered somewhat “guarded”. Sofia has been so wonderful for him with her love and specialized training, he’s in very safe hands. Keep the prayers coming, his road is slow but promising 🐾💗🐾

Dodger is getting a ton of love and care, gradually learning what it’s like being a dog that’s loved and cared for and not neglected and abused

Just a reminder, it may be snowing but we still need help walking the doggies 😉

If you want to donate direct to Little One, and feel more comfortable this way, you can call MedVet @ 317-872-8387 option 6 for client care team, and his patient ID # is 1134154 (they’ve named him Dodger)

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for your offers and generosity

For those offering and asking….blood donor dogs have to be screened and certified as healthy prior to donating, IndyVet in Indianapolis is one facility and Purdue Veterinary Teaching Hospital is our local facility for screening and donation. Once donated, there is no guarantee it will go to a specific dog, it’s kinda like a general blood bank. I do not know the cost for screening. However, it’s definitely something I will be looking into in the near future, all my current personal dogs are seniors and ineligible to donate, but when the time comes I have a younger pet, I will be screening them

Not such good news today 🥺😢, our little one is possibly septic, and in need of a blood transfusion, his RBC has dropped and he is being referred to their internal med department. I’m devastated for him. We are deeply vested and WAY OVER the initial $ amount estimated, I don’t want to give up on him, please pray or whatever you do, for him to recover and for us to continue with donations to help

*** I’m still learning about blood transfusion protocol, this is a first for me on that***

Up and walking on his own, progress little one, progress

05/01/2025

We are overwhelmed by the generosity of our friends, family, supporters, alumni adopters and so many others. Something I’ve wanted to address tho to our donors….PLEASE DO NOT APOLOGIZE for the amount you have donated! My heart hurts when you feel you’ve not given an amount you feel is “adequate” in your mind. I’ve had days where I could personally only spare $1.00 and others $100.00. Our hearts are so full that you were kind enough to sacrifice for one of our rescue dogs. It’s NOT the amount, it’s the kindness you’ve shown to us and the voiceless rescues we take in. So take some of that kindness and show yourself some of it as well. EVERY SINGLE DOLLAR HELPS 🐾💗🐾 Much Love from all of us at Natalie’s

1/4/2025 PM Pupdate

They are having to place a central line due to him being so fragile, and with that comes risks due to needing sedation. Little one could use your prayers, good vibes, good ju ju, whatever. He's a fighter, but everything helps.

Little one is still critical but a bit more alert, and eating. Concerns right now are his poor gut health, low glucose and low WBC. At least another 24 hrs in the hospital.

We are taking in a 1 yr old male Mini Aussie that has been severely neglected and is a mere 6 pounds. So far his medical is $2K-3K at MedVet in Indy for stabilization, fluids and bloodwork. I know the holidays hit hard, but we could certainly use donations if you are able

PayPal or Zeffy are on the website
