The next pet food pantry will be Thursday 11/21 from 3:30-5 or until gone at the office next to the Senior Citizens store in Newberry. Please note this is the last pantry for the year, but we will begin again in January.

We ask that you limit picking up for up to 2 people, and permission must be given in writing or via text/messenger prior to the start of the pantry.

I will also have some dog sweaters available for “sale” by donation.

Looking to borrow or buy a back leg brace for a sweet Newfie who’s got bad arthritis. Owner is looking to borrow for a week or 2, to see if it will help.

Owner is not on Facebook, but I can contact him. He has seen a vet, & will be taking him back, but hard to help move this big doggo around in the meantime 🐾🐾🐾

Absolutely wonderful news for Buddy!!! Congratulations to him and his new family 🐾🐾🐾

It is with the happiest of hearts that we announce this adoption day that we oftentimes wondered if it would ever come. This story began a year ago when a married couple stopped into the shelter to inquire about volunteering. This man said he thought he could help if we had a dog that was in need of some special one on one attention. Introducing him to Buddy was the beginning of a beautiful friendship for both man and dog. Through many hours of patience and lots of treats, for an entire year, they worked together. It became clear that Joe had earned Buddy's trust and won his heart. Seeing this relationship develop, it was inevitable that they would one day go home together! Happy Adoption Day to Buddy and his best friend, Joe, from all of us at the Luce County Animal Shelter with LOVE!

PET FOOD PANTRY DONATION EVENT!!!

Did you know LCPP gives away $400-500/month in dog & cat food to anyone in the community that stops by on pantry day (date varies). This is all funded by grants and generous donations. In the last fiscal year, we helped 330 families and their 616 cats & 572 dogs.

Where: Newberry Farmers Market
When: Thursday 8/22 from 4-6pm
What: Drop off donations for our monthly pet food pantry and get entered into a drawing for a gift certificate for the Ice Cream Bandits!

Suggested Items: small unopened bags of dog, puppy, cat, or kitten food; canned dog food; canned cat food

Tina will be there to answer questions you may have about the pantry, as well as anything Luce County Pet Pals related. You may also leave a message at 906-291-1176

Come on out to the Luce West Mackinac County Fair this weekend, and visit our tables! Luce County Pet Pals, Inc. will have our close out t-shirts for sale, plus information on services we provide. The Luce County Animal Shelter will also have information on some wonderful animals available for adoption, volunteer information, and some very cool magnets/ornaments available as well!

Both tables are just inside the door, side by side.

Some of our vendors will be out setting up this evening for our Craft Show Flea Market on Saturday and Sunday. Here is a list of everyone we have confirmed!

A few vendors mentioned in passing that they were interested, but did not confirm that they were officially coming. If you are one of those vendors, you are still welcome! Just pay when you come to set up.

If you never contacted us but decided last minute that you do want a space, come on down! We are out of our own tables, but we still have plenty of space for your own set ups! Again, just pay when you get here!
