TO ALL GROOMERS in the group!

Based on the groomers' reaction to my latest post, I have a request for the groomers here.
I am sharing topics and methods here that some of you might find new, strange, or scary when you insert the technique into a high distraction grooming environment as is.

Please remember, this group is for pawrents in the first place, who are equipped with the luxury of time, space, and trust when it comes to grooming their doodle.
Professional groomers are welcome as well.

The methods I use and share here are designed for low distraction environments, not the everyday busy grooming salon out there with multiple tables in an open space with tons of people and dogs moving around.

When you get triggered on something you see here, I'd like to ask you to raise a question for clarity on how do I meet the dog's need for e.g. safety in X Y situation with this or that method instead of labeling it as safe, unsafe, unprofessional, etc.

It does not give a comprehensive view about the group when you leave judgemental comments and reviews about a new method you did not even ask one question about when you had a question mark popped in your head reading about it.

We are here to learn new perspectives, methods, and enjoy the journey together. Some techniques you like, some you don't, and it's OK. Let's allow all members to decide which they want.

I would like judgments to be transformed into questions for clarity and understanding about a method you find surprising or worrisome.

If you agree as is, great. If you have any questions, I encourage you to bring them up below to discuss it.

If you do not wish to comply, please enjoy the content here silently, or if you can't, please leave.
We need peace, joy, community, and autonomy to choose our own ways to groom our dogs in harmony and safety.

I'd like us all to practice self-checking about the way we express ourselves and take a moment to understand how does your comment serves the group's knowledge and maintains a joyful environment before we hit the post button.

Mom did the haircut, I just had to do a little evening up after the soak & dry, ear hair, privates, and Mia's nails. :)

Head holding techniques for brushing, combing, drying, trimming, and taking images.
I encourage fellow professional groomers and pawrents to implement versions of the "C" hold or other methods that keep doodles not only safe but comfortable as well.
