Guys, the dahlias are L A T E to the party this year! I keep reminding myself they are in fact blooming (well, some of them are!) they are just all going to pre-orders with out a single stem to spare.

After the crazy storm this week we are taking a break from the farmers market. But we are still planning on a flower-filled weekend because we’re heading up to the Utah Flower Day up in Ogden! Check out for all the details!

Hopefully this cooler weather will help the dahlias to start blooming in droves. But swipe to see all the other beautiful things that are blooming!

Head to our link in profile to order some for next week. You won’t be sad.

In case you’ve missed our stories, let me catch you up. We’ve had a glorious month in Scandinavia (mostly Stockholm, Sweden) and we are headed back to the farm this week.

It’s been a wonderful (mostly) slow pace of life, spending valuable time together as a family. Noah heads to college shortly after we get back, and this fall we’ll just have 2 kids left at home. That seems wild to me! This time together before this next phase has been precious.

All that being said, we are so excited to be back in the flowers! We’ve kept busy taking in all the sights here, but when we stop to look at photos from the farm, we are missing those flowers for sure! Maddie has been hard at work keeping everything alive and ready to bloom for our return.

We were planning on getting pre-orders up for next week, but we haven’t had the time (and coordinating across a 8 hour time difference has been a bit of a challenge!) We do have several requests that we’ve received, and we are coordinating those. As soon as we are home, we’ll start working on getting the website up for pre-orders - just in time for Lisianthus, dahlias, cosmos, and floret zinnias! If you have specific flowers you are looking for first next week or beyond, please fill out a request on the website, and I’ll get back to you on Friday. We will also be at the Provo Farmers market on Saturday, and would love to see you there.

Thanks for being patient as we’ve been on sabbatical this summer. See you soon!

These photos are from a u-pick flower farm here in Stockholm we visited yesterday.

Come see us at the farmers market today! It’s the last one we will be at until August 3rd. Tons of beautiful flowers!

In case you hadn’t heard, we will be closed for July this year. Our family has the opportunity to live in Sweden for the month while my husband is there on sabbatical. It’s been a little crazy to plan a farm around this type of departure, but we are so lucky to have Maddie to hold the fort down while we are gone. This is her 3rd season working at the farm, and she’ll be living here and maintaining every thing(including our dog) while we are out of the country. She has the biggest heart, and loves being outdoors, so she seemed the perfect fit for this huge undertaking. We love Maddie!

“They are perfect!”

Favorite words to hear when florists come to pick up.

Self-serve cooler is working like a charm! Chances are you might still see me when you pick up - I’m often working in the back. And I just might ask if I can snap a photo.

But don’t worry, if you pick up in jammies, no judgment.

For the record, this is an early poppy. I’m getting 1 bloom every few days off my patch. These should be blooming in abundance in May.

Spring is almost here, can you feel it?

Yesterday morning I was confused by a strange sound early in the morning. Then I realized it was birds chirping. A sure sign of warmer weather on its way.

Even though we got some snow yesterday, the ground has thawed, and plants are starting to green up. This time of year always gives me so much hope for the season ahead.

I’d love to share some of that hope with you at my upcoming workshop. On May 11th (just in time for Mother’s Day) we’re having our final Cut Flower Garden workshop of the season.

I’ll teach you all about growing your own cut flowers, and send you home with a tray full of ready to plant starts perfect for our climate and bouquets.

You’ll also get exclusive access to our farm in early spring. You can see up close just how we grow our flowers here!

My April workshop sold out before I could even post about it, so don’t delay, sign up before we fill up! (Link in bio)

We can’t wait to welcome you to our farm. See you soon!

I had a dream last night that some wild weather picked up my tunnels, and carried them away.

So glad to find everything in tact this morning. Otherwise I’d be mourning the loss of the poppies that will soon be blooming abundantly.

Spring is just around the corner! Even though there is cold blast of winter that’s about to hit us, I picked a fist full of anemones and the very first Icelandic poppy today. Before you know it we’ll be swimming in blooms!
