We had another big adoption tonight!
💖Gaia 💖
Gaia is our 11 year old cat who came from Washoe County Regional Animal Services.
She was severely anemic, dehydrated, and sick.
We thought we were going to lose her over 4th of July weekend when she took a downhill spiral, and ended up in urgent care, but with some routine vet care at our amazing vet LuxPet Vet, and lots of TLC, she is strong, healthy, and ADOPTED!

Fleas and ticks thrive in warm environments and it is important to keep your furry friends protected! Ticks can spread many diseases such as Lyme disease, Ehrlichiosis, Anaplasmosis, and Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever to name a few.

One year ago we met Walter White when he was rescued by his owners. Upon physical exam, Dr. Kee noticed an abnormal gait only to find that he had a complete fracture to his right femoral neck. At just 2.7lbs, Dr. Kee performed a femoral head ostectomy (FHO) and today he is 12lbs of handsomeness and love without a single limp or limitation to his ability to move or jump. Here’s to Walter White, the best boy that we just can’t get enough of! 🥰

Majority of our veterinary patients have some degree of periodontal disease. This is a serious disease that can lead to pain, chronic inflammation, tooth loss, and damage to the internal organs. Most patients do not show outward signs of this disease.

Keep in mind there is not a substitution for professional teeth cleaning (scaling and polishing) with full mouth x-rays as 60% of the tooth is under the gum-line.

How to Get Your Vet in Trouble 101 by Chester the 14-week-old Sheepadoodle:
1) When your vet stops by for your house call vaccination visit when your parents are out-of-town, reassure your vet that you are ALWAYS allowed upstairs.
2) Your vet may know what you’re scheming at this point, but proceed up the stairs anyway like you know what you’re doing.
3) Try not to act guilty as you suddenly get the zoomies running up & down the stairs and all around the living room.
4) Bonus points if your vet can’t catch you.
