We are delighted to announce that our farriers, Bob Hodges and Quinn Hanson, have moved into the New Podiatry Center!

Soon, they will have a forge, shop and farrier supply right out of the podiatry center!

The new construction projects are all coming together and we will keep you all updated on the progress of the Lameness Pad, the Rehabilitation Barn and the PetScan availability.

3. Must not be on medication to control weight
4. Must be able to haul into the Navasota clinic for baseline visits.

We have a really exciting new diagnostic tool at BVEH Navasota! A PET Scanner!

An equine PET scanner is a specialized imaging device designed to perform Positron Emission Tomography (PET) scans on horses. PET is an advanced diagnostic imaging technique that provides detailed information about the metabolic and functional activity of tissues, which makes it highly valuable for detecting and assessing a range of conditions. Unlike other imaging modalities like X-rays or CT that focus on structural abnormalities, PET imaging highlights areas of abnormal cellular activity, often before structural changes become evident.

We can't wait to share more about the cases that have been scanned already!

We are accepting applications for the 2025 Breeding and Foaling Reproduction Internship!

This is a unique position because it is very flexible to accommodate school schedules and part time hours. Repro Interns get lots of hands on contact with breeding mares and neonatal foals.

All training is done on site and supported by Technicians and Veterinarians so prior reproduction experience is not required, however, proficient horse handling skills are recommended.

This is a great opportunity to get a foot in the door with BVEH and get exposure in the equine vet med world.

Attention Clients!

We have some exciting Continuing Education Events and Horse Health Studies coming up at BVEH Navasota!

In order for these CE events to take place we need some horses with specific issues...

If you have a horse with a Complex Eye Problem, a complicated Front End Lameness issue, or that is very Obese (on the body scale of 7+), we would love to talk to you about getting them in for one of these CE events/health study.

Diagnosis and Exam fees are waived (after acceptance of your horse for one of these events), and at the conclusion of the exam you would receive patient records and findings to treat here, or with your regular veterinarian.

We need both NEW cases, (not been seen by BVEH, or a new issue) and horses that HAVE been seen at BVEH for this recurring problem that is not yet fully resolved.

Reach out to us anytime if you think you have a horse that would fit the bill for Front End Lameness, Complex Eye Case or Obese Horse Study.
