We were visiting our friend Chase over at and he took us to Gecko World in Austin where we saw sweet little guy/girl about a week ago and I forgot to post! Our focus maybe snakes but we do appreciate just how amazing reptiles that have legs can be, and we wanted to share it with our lovely goofball family! What’s your favorite reptile with legs? This is just a peak at this wonderful species we are hoping to work with in the coming years!
The totally rad Rhino Rat Snake also nicknamed the “green unicorn” is a tropical arboreal species native to Southeast Asia known for their pointy nose and striking blue/green colors as adults. Reaching between 3-5ft as adults they dwell in trees naturally, and eat small mammals, small fish, birds, and occasionally eggs. boulengeri

The HERPS Reptile Expo this weekend in Longview was great! We always love getting to interact with the community and talk reptiles for two days straight!

A gentle reminder for all our goofball friends, if you live in texas with the winter storm coming hold off on feeding snakes until the storm has passed (Tuesday-Wednesday) and you are sure you won’t lose power. Snakes need heat to digest and if you lose power while they have food in their tummy, it can be very dangerous/fatal since they won’t be able to digest. They can go with our food for a little while and be a okay(:
Please feel free to reach out for advice on what to do if you do lose power with your reptiles!

We had a very nice small litter of Peruvian Long Tails (Russo Line), from a Third Generation Female. Some have a really cool reduce pattern.
