In home, one on one, Positive Reinforcement Animal Training. Private sessions are great for puppies who are too young for group classes. Each class is targeted training to meet the specific needs of your animal and to target where the problem behaviors occur. ** We currently do not take aggression cases**
Gracie and Puggy were so fun to work with. Gracie focused on puppy training, and puggy (even though he was a bit older) was able to learn new things his parents didn’t think was possible! Older pups can always keep learning and it’s a great way to keep their mind engaged and enrich their lives even more.

This is what teaching a reactive dog should look like. Annie used to bark and lunge every time she saw a dog, due to her being attacked in the past.
Here we are at a healthy distance and working on her watching calmly at a distance she is comfortable with. By slowly closing this gap you are able to reinforce those good choices and nice calm behavior, while also building confidence. This is not an overnight transformation. It takes time, patience, and not pushing them past their threshold. Annie and her mom worked really hard and she has come so far!
Enrichment is an important part of having pets. It keeps them stimulated, especially when stuck inside on hot days.
**Great Tip** If your animals easily get bored and you have a large assortment of toys try taking and separating them into 2 or 3 groups. Then only give them access to one group of toys at a time and switch them out every couple weeks. This creates excitement for those other toys they haven’t seen in a while and keeps it interesting.
Recent graduate Dane! Puppies can grow really fast, especially when you are part Great Dane. This handsome boy did great learning his puppy basics, and seeing his size difference is so fun. Training your puppy early is the key to success, having boundaries and expectations from the beginning helps them know what to expect in their new home and thrive.

This is Simon. This good boy has come so far in his training. He loves his family so much he wasn’t a fan of letting other people walk by without letting them know he was there to protect. While this is a natural instinct for a lot of German Shepards we worked on building his confidence and letting him know they didn’t need that kind of protection, but rather it was ok to ignore the people and just keep walking. Great job Simon!

When your dog is super reactive they are usually on edge when you go outside. A great place to start is playing games in the park (video). By first getting them to relax and realizing outside can be fun and not scary, then you can start the desense process.
This is Oscar. I’m so so proud of this sweet boy. He used to be very nervous around people inside and outside and didn’t enjoy walking. Now he is confident, enjoys the park, and had some great interactions of new people to his home. His mom has worked so hard with him! Great job! He’s such a goof (see 2nd picture) 😂
This is Rocko, this cute boy is slaying his leash skills! This Bernadoodle is full of energy and his parents worked really hard to get him to this point. Having a puppy is a lot of work but being consistent and getting training early will lead to a better relationship and a well behaved adult.
Find someone who loves you as much as Maizy loves pinecones. We had to find just the toy to trade her that could be as reinforcing.
Special toys or objects are a great way to break up training sessions. 5 minutes of learning, followed by 5 minutes of play. Especially for young puppies with short attention spans small bursts of learning are far more effective than making it too long just because you have a goal you want them to achieve. Beginning training is all about small achievable goals for future well behaved adult dogs.
This is Katie. This sweet girl was a rock star at learning her puppy basics. We utilized her bed for station training to help her focus and as a safe place to go if doors are opening and closing. Great job Katie!
How does your dog walk on a leash? A lot of people are unsure how to teach leash walking. The truth is there are many styles of leash walking and the trick is to pick the style you want and be consistent! I allow Marty to sniff and walk a bit in front of me, but don’t allow pulling. You’ll see the leash is slack and I can use one finger to walk him. Any change in direction he will still notice and if he feels any tension he knows a change in direction is coming. You can also choose to have them not sniff and stay in a heel, but keep in mind your dog’s breed and activity level. Whatever style you choose keep the expectations the same and you’ll have pleasant walks in no time!
This is Buddy! This handsome boy is super sweet but got scared easily when meeting new people. His confidence has grown tremendously and he absolutely adores working with his mom.

Check out this pretty girl! Shi-thead is a recent graduate who did amazing with her puppy class. Coming from a rescue she was not very comfortable wearing a leash and didn’t have much confidence. But with a little trust she bloomed into such an amazing pup with lots of confidence and walks very well on leash for her parents. 👏
