It’s that day of the year….Dogust 1st!
Dogust, which takes place Aug. 1 each year, is a nationwide celebration for dogs whose birthdays are unknown. It’s been a holiday since 2008, when staff at the North Shore Animal League America of New York set out to ensure even dogs without official birthdays still get their own special day.

It is the official birthday for all rescued puppies and dogs to celebrate their importance in our lives! All 3 of my dogs don’t know their bday so today it is! 🎉🎂🥳🎁🎈

Sad post warning…..Santa in July was a complete flop! I don’t know why as both Santa and I were so excited and posted about it but we had to pack up after 2 hours and only 3 dogs. If you have any feedback, please DM me how we can make this cute event more successful in the future or we may just not hold it. The Real Pet Santa donates his time and while disappointed he was still jolly as he headed back to the North Pole. Onwards and Upwards!

We have a great weekend line up for the with great weather. Saturday we are helping our favorite dog grooming salon celebrate 10 years!!!! Stop by in Limerick from 11-2 for lots of fun, meet adoptable dogs and pet the mini cow! See why it’s the best in town and say congrats!
Sunday…..the big man is in town! Thats right Santa in his July summer wear is stopping by . He will be set up to meet your dogs and you can take your own picture with him before he heads out to start prepping for year end. 4-7pm
We hope to see all of you at these amazing local businesses and of course say Hi and get your favorite treats!

Come out next Saturday to visit us The Dog House. See why they are the best as they celebrate their anniversary. The big blue truck has their own dog who goes there and we are thrilled to meet Hemi. If you check their page, he’s a 🌟!!!!

Don’t forget next Saturday is our 10th anniversary party! Come join us with food, vendors, rescues, the dog treat truck, pet caricatures, face painting, raffles, giveaways, a petting zoo, and a HEMI MEET AND GREET!!!!

We were thrilled for cooler temps and to see so many friends . If you haven’t stopped by there are multiple farmer stands of fresh vegetables (support the farmers!!!!), fresh flowers and lots of crafts. We appreciate the support from the home town crowd. Its been waaayyyyy tooooo long since we've been on the road and even posting here but we are BACK!!! This Saturday, July 20th you find us Royersford Farmers Market (finally our home town!). We will have our full inventory ready to go and remember bring the pups to "try before you buy".....we love to sample and of course pet the customers :)

We always have way too many customers and pictures to share since IG only allows 10! So all the rest in stories. For a summer Saturday we were busy and loved every moment of it 🩵🐶🦴🐾. Thank you to Freedom Dog Park for hosting and if you haven’t been there it’s a must!!!!

As we keep our eyes on high temps and resuming getting on the road again (will keep everyone posted) let’s hope Santa’s day in July is reasonable temps. He couldn’t afford to melt last year so hoping we can welcome him in 2024!

It pains a small business to take a long break but due to this excessive and oppressive heat we are keeping the truck parked until the temps and humidity break which appears to be another whole week 🥴. You all bring your pups out to enjoy treats and pavements are too hot as well as the truck without AC becomes an oven and is not conducive for keeping treats fresh and this owner not a dripping mess! Our next event was the Royersford Farmers Market and we encourage you to still stop by and see the participating vendors. In the meantime you can still get your treats! Message us through social media, email [email protected] and we can arrange free delivery or shipping to ensure you have what your pups need. We are disappointed but appreciate your ongoing support.

IYKYK….but never hurts to remind everyone please don’t take your dogs on a walk in this heat unless it’s early morning or late evening. My dogs LOVE their daily walks but my dog walker and I agreed this week is not safe. Stay hydrated and keep their tongues wet as well! No events this week until Saturday morning when we get out for our first time this year . Come early before the heat kicks in!

What a beautiful day to meet some new friends and be a part of their wellness day. We were so happy to be out as the weather has not been our friend over the past few months on the weekends. We have events booked throughout the months of June and July and hope they stick however for safety of dogs and owners if the weather is over 90 degrees we will cancel. If you are looking for us events are listed on our website and FB events page. We always provide notice of events. .

The suffered a loss this week with a former foster who was adopted by friends that are not only family but work hard behind the scenes with the truck operations. Sharing all the time about rescue, fostering and adoption also brings times we have share the unbearable loss of our dog. Ophelia was a gem 💎 and lived and passed on her own terms. We will all see you again someday Miss O, until then know how much you were loved.

We hate that IG limits to 10 pics when we have so many adorable customers who came by during the 5k today. We love supporting these events and always donate back. Our customers say they want to tip us and we say no way!! Their “tips” and our own dollars go right back to saving more dogs. It was a beautiful day and we also continue to say shop small businesses! Our friends and were there as well.
