Sad to report the first litter born in the barn all passed away sometime last night. It’s very sad but that’s the reality about raising farm animals. It does not matter how much you intervene, you can’t save them all.
We believe momma was just too nervous for her first time. She’ll be a great mom in the future. She’s got more learning to do.

Listening to the news tonight, as my green mountain dairy state talks about lab grown dairy. Our medical university is study it and our once beloved grass roots ice cream company, Ben & Jerry’s is researching and funding it.
I honestly hate the way our food system is being abused, striping away all that is natural for man made. Nature makes no mistakes, and I’m not feeling the slightest bit comfortable with altering it.
It seems that the quest has become fast, cheap goods, mega farms, mono cropping or lab engineered alternatives.

We are gifted these amazing lactating mammals, in their raw pure form, why are we continually trying to reinvent the wheel?

Starting a new project for the rabbits and chickens. We are gonna try our hand at growing fodder! With the rising cost of feed this will be a great and healthier way to cut feed cost. It’ll be nice to to know exactly what’s doing into our rabbits and chickens!

It’s a little late, but Baby Blue had her litter on Thursday! This is a small litter of just 3! We are so excited! Looks like two solid blues and one broken blue but we will know for sure in another couple of days when their fur comes in. One of these cuties will being going to a home to be a pet with a friend of ours!

Just in case someone needs to know the parts of a rabbit to cook. Since rabbit meat is roughly
$25.00 -$30.00, or more in the stores for a 3 pound rabbit, it's cheaper to raise and process them yourself

We are always happy to mentor new breeders. We always give tons or info and advice on our rabbits. Even if people don’t buy from us we recommend other breeders and still share our knowledge. We are always happy to help!
