As Christmas draws ever so close, my Grandkitty Leo wasn’t feeling the greatest over the weekend. X-rays were taken to reveal he had eaten something he shouldn’t have. Dr Rachael along with the rest of my staff, worked him into the schedule for emergency surgery. As you can see he’s already and ready to go back home to his family. The little heart eraser he ate is out of his intestines and he will be good to enjoy his lfe. This is so meaningful to me as these ladies work hard each and every day to make sure our pets stay healthy. They are caring, loving and very compassionate team. I will be stepping down from my manager roll the end of this month and into retirement! I am so blessed to have worked with the amazing staff of Metro the past 7 years. Today was tough since it was one of my own, and experienced what our clients go through daily. Forever grateful for each one of my team and Doctors! Thank you just doesn’t seem enough. I am blessed to have been part of this family! ❤️🐾

Once again this year we are accepting donations to both the Humane Society of Marathon County and Be The Change Rescue. Please see the lists below to help our furry friends this holiday season! We will be taking donations until the end of December. We appreciate all they do to help make a difference in our community!

Last, but certainly not least, are our dedicated Customer Care Coordinators/Receptionists: Shauna, Morgan and Alyssa.

Shauna is our lead Receptionist and has been with us since 2017. Morgan joined the team in 2022 when she moved to the area from Florida. Alyssa is our newest addition to our front-end team, joining earlier this year after moving from Louisiana.

You may recognize these friendly faces, as they are the ones who greet you and your pets when you come in. Their duties encompass a wide range of responsibilities, including greeting clients, appointment scheduling, communication, billing and payments; just to name a few things. They play a crucial role in the smooth operation of the clinic to ensure our patients are well-cared for.

Today we say thank you to 3 more of our wonderful assistants: Allison, Grace and Jessie.

Allison joined our team last month after moving from Michigan. She brings with her an abundance of knowledge and experience in the Veterinary field. Grace started with us as an intern back in 2023 while she was enrolled in the Veterinary Technician program at NTC. She continues to grow her skills and knowledge here at Metro while gently caring for all of our patients. Jessie started with us last year as well after working at an emergency facility. Her energy and positivity are uplifting to our staff, clients and patients. She is not only great with our furry friends but has taken a special interest in our exotic patients as well. We are so fortunate to have these ladies on our team!

To continue with our staff appreciation week, we are going to highlight a few of our amazing assistants: Mady, Hillary, and Elise.

Mady came to us from a referral clinic back in 2021. She brought with her a wealth of talents that she uses in every aspect of patient care. Hillary has been with us since 2018. Her passion for animals is evident in the gentle care she gives every patient. Elise joined our team in 2022 and has a special way with our more apprehensive canine patients. Please join us in thanking these wonderful ladies for all that they do!

This week we are celebrating National Veterinary Technician Week, along with Staff Appreciation Week! We would like to thank all of our Technicians, Assistants and Customer Care Coordinators who work tirelessly to take great care of our patients!

Today we will highlight our Certified Technicians, Cassie and Jillian:
Cassie is our lead surgical technician and has been on the Metro team since 2019. Jillian is our lead technician and joined our team early this year. Both of these ladies have excellent skills, knowledge, and passion to give the best care possible! Thank you ladies!
