Today we said goodbye to our last two puppies. 😢 The girls are off to their new life! And we couldn’t be happier that they went to family so we can check on them often. 💕

We had puppies!

I would like to first start off by saying that these puppies were created because I wanted another puppy from our female, Echo. It was not because I wanted to have litter after litter of puppies, in fact Echo and Kilo have already been fixed, and we would be happy with any of the 5 puppies we got from her litter. They say you shouldn’t breed unless you are making the breed better and truly believe we did that who Echo and Kilo. With all that being said here’s a little background on Mom and Dad--which we own both--and their adorable pups!

Echo, is the mom. She’s a two year old black and tan (or red and tan) who’s smaller in size (she averages 65-70lbs). We got her from a breeder in Bear Lake, Michigan area. She’s just an incredible dog. So patient and friendly (amazing with kids!) and loves to go on adventures with us. I have even taken her shopping downtown with me and she never makes a peep and sticks to my side. She loves to chase a tennis ball but if you want the fun to end she will find her bed and take a rest like the rest of us. She’s the perfect family pet and best friend for our kids. We did not get her hips checked before breeding but both of her parents had been and I have the certificate from Echo’s mom.

Kilo, is the dad. He’s a 1 year old sable, who’s much larger than Echo (around 95lbs) who came from a breeder in Florida. My mom actually has a sister of Kilo’s and they both have very gentle temperaments. Kilo just did two weeks at dog training bootcamp and the trainer went on and on about him being such a great dog. He’s very obedient and is easy to train, loves to play, he’s protective of his pack (our kids) and loves to snuggle on the bed with us at night. He’s our gentle giant.

As for the puppies they were born on the summer solstice--June 21--and we have 5; 2 females and 3 males. 2 sables (1 male and 1 female) and 3 black and tans (2 males and 1 female). We have of course named them (it’s easier to take care of them if you know which one you are talking about) Alpha (male sable), Bravo (male black and tan), India (female sable), Juliet (female black and tan) and Zulu (male black and tan).
