PENNY will be ready for her furever home during the week of May 1.

RUSTY is patiently waiting for his future adopters to pick him! He is an awesome dog that is good with kids, cats and other dogs. He is about 8 months old and is a beautiful blend of chocolate border collie, blue Heeler and German Shepard.

Shearing is done--whew!! All ranches around here working together did 170 alpacas. They all look so beautiful and cool now. Just waiting for the babies now.

Awesome kids in 4H again this year. Got the obstacle course up yesterday out in the grove. Everyone had so much fun. Well, maybe not the weanlings who had never seen it before, but everyone else did.

After these beautiful fall days it looks like winter is approaching. The alpacas love the cooler weather and the leaves of the maple tree falling into their pasture. This year the mamas and crias are the lucky ones to get to eat them. Coats are growing out and everyone is eating the last of the grass in the pastures. It's awesome to be an alpaca rancher.

Had a great time in Phoenix. Bella took 1st place (woohoo--pics to follow); Wheeler 2nd (judge said he was the finest but not as balanced as the 1st place--you think maybe his "monk" hairdo had something to do with that?); and Volcano got 5th in a large white class while being the youngest in the class. First time to show in the competitive white classes and we are thrilled.
