Bring Padme Home Help to Rescue lost dog, Padme, from the streets.

05/02/2021

On January 30, 2021 after being on the lam for 6 months and 3 days Padme was finally saved from a life on the streets! This only happened because of an amazing community effort and many caring people.

Thank you to every single one of you that followed, donated, cheered us on and all around were there for Padme!

Thank you to Kati and Karen for the amazing amount of work, love, energy and time away from their families to help bring Padme to safety!!! Karen spent the majority of her days for the last 5 months brainstorming, tracking, feeding, watching, filming and networking in the Garden Terrace neighborhood to save Padme. She sacrificed time and money to feed her and finally catch her. She fell in love with Padme from a distance and her perseverance paid off!!! Thank you also to her wonderful daughter, Mikayla who supported her mom and sacrificed time with her to help Padme.

Thank you to the most dedicated Animal Service officers that have gone above and beyond the call of duty and helped support us through this long ordeal. Their experience and assistance was beyond expectations and they have become friends.

Padme is a special dog and she will now have a safe a comfortable life with one of the most kind and generous of men. Without her future dad connecting with Padme and helping catch her, she may have lived feral the rest of her life. Thank you for opening your home to her!!!!

It is with a grateful heart that I once again thank all of you that followed and supported the Bring Padme Home page and the safe return of Padme to society. As a foster mom to many, many dogs through the years, each one remains in my heart forever and to know she is once again safe lets me sleep better at night.

This page will be archived as its purpose has been met. Please help support others desperately trying to get other pets safe!

It sound’s crazy-stupid to say “Don’t Call Your Dog!” after your dog has escaped. So HOW will I get the dog to come to me? BY CALMING HIM and ATTRACTING HIM.

27/10/2020

From “bring hoagie home”

“This short video illustrates just how difficult it can be for an owner to get a skittish dog to come to them. Notice the point at which Bentley finally recognized his owner. It’s not what you would expect. This is why we caution owners that their own dogs may not come to them when called, and why we offer some methods that may help. If a dog will not come to his owner, it is very unlikely he will come to a stranger, and in Hoagie’s case, we suspect that he is being constantly triggered by people calling out to him, whistling and chasing him, keeping him on the run and in a panic.

Grab a tissue and watch this short but very important clip of Bentley’s reunion with his owner after 19 days on his own.”

Padme is still running the park. Nearly 8 weeks later.

Right now we aren’t setting traps and focusing on one location where hand feeding has occurred. While I didn’t believe before a hand capture was possible. I’m a covert. Everyone needs to visualize 10/31 as a date of capture for the power of positive thinking!

Thank you for all the donations of dry food!

If you can, please donate to and/or share
our gofundme. (So far money has been spent on annual data for one camera, and ther ups on data ona other, food, countless batteries, fliers, and locks)

Or we could Use cans of dog food or other high value. She gets fed twice at day at two locations, and sometimes other critters get to it first. Anything and everything is appreciated!

Padme in the night photo. The others are 2/4 dogs we’ve been dealing with at the stations we’ve set for her. Competition. And that doesn’t include the cats. Raccoons. Skunks. Etc.

This recovery has been nothing but challenging. But Padme is resilient and we aren’t giving up

Hi all. Quick update. Padme is still alluding all of our efforts to capture her. But she is still in the area! Same area. Just no consistent patterns.

We’re are going on something like six weeks in the park. Maybe longer. It’s all mixing together. We need to set up more cameras and stations. Trying to get her before the weather turns.

Supplies and data for cameras are running low/out again. If you can please donate a few bucks, or share. Thank you so much. Padme will be caught! Eventually! And sooner than later, hopefully.

LOST IN GOLDEN COLORADO.

When Padme was dropped off at the Longmont Humane Society in May, she was heavily pregnant and had been picked up as a stray.

She had been a stray for entire life and she had many firsts coming to my home to have her litter of pups. She is under 2 years old and this was not her first litter. She was an amazing momma, but clearly confused about being in a home. Padme had her pups at the end of May and all are safely in their new forever families.

However Padme is not safe! She escaped from her new adopters less than a day after they brought her home. She is back on the streets and we desperately are trying to get her safe again.

This has been especially challenging because she is so smart. It has been 7 weeks of her on the lam and she has covered many miles, but has made her way to Golden.

Please help us to get her to safety so she can have the life she really deserves!
