It doesn’t matter what event you want to participate in; a good foundation in training is a must. Your horse should be able to walk- trot- canter in both directions quietly in a 20 meter circle. He should stop and back with his head down and his body straight. The extra time spent in his foundation will save time and make the rest of the journey much easier for both you and the horse!
