I had a lot of fun this past weekend at the Ottawa County Horse Foundation POTP horse show. First time competing against other breeds and did well. I even got a 4th in open gelding model, 5th in Open W/T Ranch Pleasure. And ran my heart out at the speed show for my 3rd birthday. I didn't place but was just fractions of seconds off and had a blast doing it. I am amped up for show season now. Thank you Just Plain Photography for the wonderful photos.

I had quite the time at Equine Affaire, Inc. (Official) representing the Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders' & Exhibitors' Association . I saw a lot of new things, people and horses. Taking it all in and soaking up the experience except for the loud scary things above our heads called "trains". They're very loud, especially when they honk at you. It was terrifying and I tried to go back to the safety of my stall but my humans got me through it. And luckily, when I was in the breed booth, I had a front row seat to all the action in the arena.

Tennessee Walking Horses will once again be represented at this year's Equine Affaire, Inc. (Official), happening this weekend April 9-12, 2026 at the Ohio Expo Center in Columbus, OH. TWHBEA CEO Mark Farrar, accompanied by Ashlyn Avent, will join local walking horse owners in representing our breed at the event. They will be present to answer questions and talk to other equine enthusiasts.

They especially love to see TWHBEA members out in the wild, so be sure to stop by and ask for your FREE TWH Keychain!

Equine Affaire https://equineaffaire.com/events/ohio/ is April 9-12, 2026. TWHBEA will have a booth again this year in the Pavilion, and there will be 3 under saddle demos and 2 in-hand demo with Q&A.

There will also be horses in the stalls at the TWHBEA booth in the Voinovich Building. Horses in theses stalls rotate throughout the event and will include the demo horses, plus two additional booth dedicated horses including:
Ozone Alert owned by Marianne Springer
Yardley owned by Mag Ranft

Thank you to trainer Jim Potter who donates his time and services to this event for MOWHA...and thanks to Wendy Kaufman who will be helping with the horses, and assisting Mag Ranft throughout the event.
