Cafe au Lait... In the early part of the season, this Dahlia usually presents more lavender and purple. As the days shorten and get cooler, they transform into that magical pink mocha color that everyone loves and adores. In all stages, she is absolutely gorgeous!

Uptown Girl starts off as a Crayola red and then quickly opens up into the most astounding shade of coral. Definitely will be channeling some tropical vibes next week with a heat wave!
The final days and bouquets of Spring blooms are bittersweet. It was an epic flower-filled season starting with our field tulips and then head-long into poppies, ranunculus, anemone and more. Thank you to our subscribers and supporters! Up next: DAHLIAS and Lisianthus! 🎉
Nothing like a lie flat of gorgeous blooms to induce outrage! Deadheading roses is part of an important process to ensure continuous blooms on our plants. We typically snap off the head with our fingers to try and avoid disease transfer from using snips. It is immensely satisfying and prevents any rage ripping in other unruly, weedy beds (ahem, ranunculus bed...)
Want them all! Sometimes in the early morning light, when the flowers are at their finest, I contemplate just keeping them all for myself! Spring has really hit her stride and we are harvesting all of the best blossoms of the season. Not too much longer until the ranunculus shutdown for the summer heat, so trying to enjoy them while we can!
Peonies basking in the beauty and serenity of @studiomiyaando incredible work. This piece was crafted on steel using a complex process of intricate etching and hanging by cables affixed with the same industrial glue used for aircraft construction. 🤯
Need a last minute bunch for the weekend? Swing by Camoro at the Delamar Southport where we are popping up for Mother's Day! These bunches are stuffed with ranunculus and tulips in the best colors! Not many available, so scoot over soon! ❤️🌺🌷
We are officially SOLD OUT for Mother's Day blooms! Our Autumn Dahlia subscription series is Live and would also make an excellent gift (hint, hint). 😁. Thank you everyone for your support! We are truly grateful!
So many great blooms coming out of the garden and grateful to be able to share them with our community! Happy Spring!
Bibbity bobbity boo! Time to plant the lisianthus. Temperatures have been in the 30s and 40s at night and lisis love to start a little cool. This Harry Potter wand is the perfect tool for getting the plugs into the bed! I always knew it would come in handy someday after the littles finished their Halloween extravaganzas!
Peonies are growing quickly but don't let this imposter fool you! Double flowering tulips are where it's at this early in the Spring!
Chase away the post-vacation blues with an armload of stunning blooms! Grab a chicken pot pie for an easy dinner tonight, pour yourself a glass of wine and ease back into reality while admiring your fresh flowers!

Picking up your holiday orders @thepantryfairfield this morning? Make sure you grab a bunch of locally grown blooms to complete your holiday table! Just restocked this morning (Saturday)! Thanks for the ♥️
Checking in on the Dahlia tubers today to start washing and dividing them for the spring. There are many ways to store dahlias and it seems like I've tried them all. I've settled on one of the easier and, in my experience, more successful ways for storage.
Essentially, at the end of the season I cut the stalk down, dig up the tuber, shake off some dirt and put it in a cardboard box. That box then goes into the basement for the winter. Come spring when I have some time, I take them out to clean them up and divide them back for planting. No peat moss, no plastic, no checking humidity levels and obsessing over them. It seems to work for me!
Easter flowers! Loving the combination of hellebores and tulips for a local, seasonal offering for this holiday.
As much as I love the beauty and sheer insanity of winter growing, I'm very much looking forward to spending time outside in the sun with our emerging blossoms. Thank you to all of our customers for supporting local blooms this past season! And a big thank you to @thetulipworkshop and it's robust community of growers for the education and support during this past winter tulip season!
