Pup Bus!

At Arete Canine Purpose, we have an incredible tracking dog who helps find missing dogs and people—but he’s overwhelmed with requests!

We’re looking for young puppies (ideally around 2 months old) from strong hunting and scent-tracking breeds to train for free in tracking. These dogs would only be called on occasionally to assist in searches.

Ideal breeds include:
🐾 Bloodhound (Elite scent trackers)
🐾 Coonhounds (Black and Tan, Bluetick, Redbone, Walker, Leopard, etc.)
🐾 Bavarian Mountain Scent Hound
🐾 Basset Hound
🐾 Beagle
🐾 Plott Hound
🐾 American Foxhound
🐾 English Foxhound
🐾 Dachshund (Great ground scent hounds)
🐾 German Shorthaired Pointer
🐾 Wirehaired Pointing Griffon
🐾 Labrador Retriever (Strong field line preferred)
