Gracie X Poncho
This is a fantastic, high drive breeding that should produce great hunt test, hunting, or sport dogs. This is a repeat of Gracie’s last litter, and so far the pups are excelling in hunt test training, hunting, and sport homes.
Gracie has a lot of get up and go when she’s in the field. She is all drive. She has great marking ability and runs clean blinds. Gracie qualified for Master Nationals 2024, at just 3 years old. So far her pups have shown to have that same drive and desire to work. Gracie has a decent off switch when in the home, but definitely needs stimulation to maintain that.
Poncho is an awesome fella out of Thunderstruck Retrievers in MN. He is very sweet and loves attention. When it is time to work, he has great attention and drive. He has high energy, but is able to shut off in the house. He is trainable and catches onto new skills quick. He has a pedigree full of field lines. He earned his MH (master hunter) title at 2.5 years of age in 2022. He loves dock diving and air retrieve!
We paired Gracie with Poncho the first time trying to maintain that high drive while improving Gracie’s off switch when we aren’t working. So far the pups from the first litter have all the drive and get up an go that Gracie has, with a better ability to “turn it off” when it’s time to hang out in the house.
