🐱 KITTIES IN NEED OF REHOMING 💔
Meet Pumpkin and Squash who have been returned due to no fault of their own. They were adopted as a bonded pair from us when they were just 10 weeks old. Now they are about a year and a half.
Unfortunately a series of very sad events left them homeless. The original owner has just lost everything. 💔 He is so broken hearted to give them up and just wants them to be together forever. They do everything together, eat, sleep, go to the litter box-they are truly inseparable.
We were trying to work with him and have been “fostering” them since August but recent events have changed and they now need to be rehomed.
All their shots have just been updated and they received a clean bill of health at their vet exam!

Meet Sir Oliver, a very sweet 1-2 year old handsome male tuxedo. He was rescued from a very busy area downtown where he was struggling for survival. He is now fully vetted and ready for his forever home. He is a little shy as he has been through a lot in his young life. He is getting used to sharing his space with other kitties, and may grumble a bit initially. He does not like being picked up yet. He enjoys scratches and loves treat and play time. He is so grateful to be indoors!!
Please help us by either sharing or adopting so we can open back up for intake for so many kitties that desperately need us!!! 🤟

I was petting baby girl and my sleeve was literally turning black. After just one dose of antibiotics, she is already breathing a little bit better so it’s time for her warm bath! (Good thing foster mama is a professional pet groomer 😍) She purred the entire time she was being dried and then enjoyed some KMR after as a treat. She was such a good girl. You can hear her breathing a little bit, we started antibiotics this morning and she’s already doing better!!
Now she’s passed out in her warm bed. She seems so much more comfortable. There were stones embedded in the fur of her stomach. I can’t imagine what this little sweetheart has been through. She is skin and bones, but I will get her chunked up in no time!!
If you see a kitty in need, please help them-sometimes you are their only chance between life and death. 💔 They all deserve a chance! They did not ask to be born into this life.

Checking on our new baby without waking her. These pet cameras really are the best. We use them for all our new intakes-especially if they are sick. Highly recommend! This brand is Zmodo but plenty of them are good out there!
Hoping this sweet babygirl starts feeling better in no time! She looks quite comfortable. She was already purring for me today and went right up to the front of the cage when I checked on her earlier. She is so grateful to be safe, fed, warm and loved. 🤟

Poor babygirl has a severe upper respiratory infection. I bet the Adrenalin was keeping her going. I woke up to her eyes and nose completely crusted. We got her started on antibiotics, nice warmed up KMR and cleaned all her little crusties. Now she’s kneading in her warm bed. Flea meds applied! I wanted to bathe her today but I’m going to wait until she feels a little better, I don’t want her temperature dropping. I’ll make sure she gets into the vet this week.

Update!
Sunny gets along well with female cats!! He is in our foster room with five females and doing wonderfully!!
We had to transfer him from our three season room because it was getting too cold at night.
Please adopt this sweet man, he is so sad to be honest, it’s breaking our heart. 💔 He cries all the time.

🐱 NEW KITTEN FOR ADOPTION! 🤟
Bruiser is looking for his furever home. He is a beautiful gray tiger about 10 months old. He was a stray rescued as a small kitten with his two sisters. Bruiser is still a bit shy but loves attention on his terms. He will let you know when he wants to be picked up. Once you do pick him up he begins to purr right away! He is very curious and playful. Bruiser is comfortable with other cats, kids and is becoming used to the foster’s dog.
Please help us open up space we so desperately need to save more lives and give Bruiser a home to call his own before the holidays!

Silver is looking for his furever home. He is about 10 months old and has a beautiful silver coat with subtle darker stripes on his tail. Silver loves attention and is very content sitting on your lap! He is very curious and playful. He loves to help the broom sweep the floor! Silver is comfortable with other cats, kids and is becoming used to the foster’s dog. He is a very sweet boy!

🐱 NEW KITTY FOR ADOPTION 🤟
Meet Sunny! (FIV +)☀️
Sunny was a stray kitty we found in the winter months around our house last year. We brought him in, socialized him and got him healthy. He was adopted but unfortunately his placement did not suit him best even though he was very loved.
We have found that Sunny should be a solo kitty or with other FIV + kitties. We have not had any issues with him and our cats or fosters, but he did not get along with the adopters kitty for no known reason.
Sunny is a very special boy!! He loves to talk and he has the tiniest baby meow for how large he is. He loves to be held like a baby. He wants to be near you always and he is such a happy boy.
He has decompressed with us and now it is time for him to find his forever home.
He is SO outgoing and friendly. All you have to do is come meet him and you will fall head over heels in love with him.
We are currently closed for intake. Please share or adopt to open space to help so many kitties that need us.

This was a kitty Maci we rescued from being left inside a carrier outside the doors of a kill shelter and she was scheduled for euthanasia because she was semi-feral. While she did not want to be an indoor kitty, my friend Nicole welcomed her barn to her. She has loved her from afar and she had lived there for years. Crazy coming from city life to a horse farm and not being afraid whatsoever. Barn homes for cats that need relocation and are too aggressive for adoption are true life savers. While Love for Misfit Meeps is a no kill rescue, we needed a safe placement for her and we are so beyond grateful to Nicole for this beautiful update. 🐱❣️

It’s been such a long week but CHAI IS BACK HOME!!
It is such a small world. Where she lived originally was two blocks away from us. She went back there and was under their deck. They called us and we got her back right away!! They unfortunately can’t care for her or they would take her inside!
She is back with us receiving her medications to heal her facial wounds, which look a bit worse than last time we saw her. She does seem very grumpy to be confined to indoors. We will have to figure out a safe way to keep her happy! 🤟
I will need to retest her FIV/leukemia status and start her steroid treatment again but as it down poured today I was so grateful to know she was indoor, safe and dry.
Thank you to everyone who shared my posts and wished for her safe return! Welcome home Chai Chai!! I’ve only known her 2 weeks but the second they come into my rescue I vow to take care of her and find them perfect forever homes when they are ready read.
I’d say she’s happy to see her foster mama. 🤟🤟
Chai Chai is already looking so much better after just a few days of care!!! The steroids and antibiotics are really helping to heal her nose and facial wounds. She is the sweetest girl in this world. As soon as she is healed and spayed she will make the very best companion. 🤟💙 She has another vet visit in a week, please consider donating to her care.

Meet our newest Meep-Chai!!
This poor baby was spotted in the Greece area and was coming around a home every day for food. She would come from the woods whenever she was called.
I saw a post about her needing help and we answered the call. She is the most loving girl in the whole world!
She had an urgent vet visit (at Coldwater Animal Hospital) yesterday and the vet believes she has an autoimmune disease. She has scabs all over her entire body. The veterinarian is unsure where the facial wounds came from.
She was tested negative for leukemia and FIV and we are so beyond grateful for that.
She was given an antibiotic injection and we have her on steroids twice a day. Her nose is already looking better after two days of care.
She is very underweight. She is very hungry and loves canned food. We are also giving her Purina hydration packs.
If you would like to donate to her care and help pay for her vet visit, we would greatly appreciate it. She has another veterinarian check in two weeks. She was unable to receive vaccinations but we are hopeful she will be doing much better at her next appointment!
Thank you so much to her rescuers Gianna and her son (he is the one who named her!) for caring and bringing her to us.
She is safe now and already so loved!!

Love for Misfit Meeps
This story starts with a beautiful handicapped kitty named MarciMeep. She was found in a garbage can at just three weeks old. Marceline was born with a unique brain condition, a form of cerebral hypoplasia, that caused her paralysis although she had feeling all over her body. She was able to move her neck, head, back legs slightly and her tail. She loved meowing, eating, and above all, giving and receiving love. Alanna received a call about her and immediately went to pick her up, while her condition was completely unknown at this time. The two were bonded upon first look.
Alanna took her to many vets to asses her condition and ensure quality of life. Most vets suggested euthanasia at just three weeks old as “her life would be nothing but gradual suffering” and was given a life expectancy of no more than six months. Alanna took her to Cornell Veterinary Hospital and was assured that Marci was not in any pain and with proper care could live a very comfortable life, although projected to be shorter than most other cats. Throughout the duration of Marci’s life she needed constant care, and precise attention to her needs and wants. Alanna owns her own grooming business (Furry Paws Pet Salon in Spencerport, NY) so she was able to bring her to work every day with her. Her routines included assisted feedings of canned food and water, lots of bath clean ups after going to the bathroom (she did have control of this), and most importantly constant love, snuggles and kisses. Alanna provided her with one on one attention all day, every single day, because that is exactly what Marci deserved as all special needs animals deserve. They all deserve to be given a chance, regardless of the severity of their condition, as long as they are not in pain or suffering.
Marci absolutely loved her life, and she exuded it to everyone that had the privilege of meeting her. She passed away at three and a half years old from suspected lung cancer, and diagnosed pneumonia. There were so many characteristics that made her uniquely “her” from her little tongue blep to her intense and bright green eyes. She impacted and inspired everyone that heard her story, and will continue to do so. As the founder of this cat rescue, it is my hope that through Marci’s legacy, we will save the lives of those that are considered “not adoptable” and give them all beautiful and happy lives by finding them their perfect forever homes. We must be the voice for the voiceless.
Love for Misfit Meeps is recognized as a not-for-profit cat rescue in New York State. Alanna has the dream of saving cats from Verona Street Animal Shelter in Downtown Rochester that are disabled or special needs, those that have been at the shelter for a long duration and those that are next in line for euthanasia.
Marci’s ability to inspire and legacy will continue with every single life we save.
