We are welcomed two new Meeps in two days!
This young kitty seemed to have parts of pink spray painted on them. This kitty was found in the same area as another spray painted cat we took in a few years ago. We take this very seriously as often this means they are tagged for dog baiting.
My friend Esther dropped everything, got her right away and brought her to us.
No microchip, but the baby is too scared for me to check their gender. Then we can start coming up with names! You are safe now sweet love.

Meet Wilma!!!
This adorable girl is full of personality, s***k, love and sass! She is very curious and wants to be around you no matter what you are doing. She will be your copilot and never leave your side. She follows you around like a dog, and is always interested to be part of whatever activity you are doing!!
She believes she is the alpha of the house, but is totally harmless with other kitties.
She is about a year and a half old!
She has a dental tooth extraction scheduled as well as her spay, and then she will be ready for her forever home.
Come meet this beautiful girl! You won’t be sorry!!

This cat was spotted during the colder winter months, even on the most freezing days. The homeowners reached out asking if I thought we should trap him. I would like to fix him and see if he is friendly.
Before we go through the effort of trapping, I wanted to see if anyone owned this kitty.
Location is off Whittier Rd near Westside Dr.

Beautiful Smudge is waiting for that calm and loving person. Her adoption fee is sponsored to a well screened adopter!!! This senior lady loves to sleep and eat. She adores head scratches. She likes to keep to herself, is very low maintenance and gets along well with other kitties. She is the easiest cat we’ve ever had!!

Sweet adorable Maggie keeps getting overlooked because she is a little shy at first. She quickly warms up and once she is comfortable she is so outgoing, sweet and playful. She is between 1-2 years old and absolutely gorgeous. She has scars on her face that show how strong she is from making it on her own as a stray, and getting attacked by males constantly. Despite how hard she had it, she absolutely loves people and attention, and just wants to be your companion. 🥹

Adopt Smudge! 💕
For the first time she ventured out of the foster room and into the upstairs today!! What a brave girl.
Please read full bio as experienced cat home is needed for this both sweet and cranky senior girl.
Smudge is between 8 and 10 years old and spent her entire life fighting for survival outside. Outside life was clearly hard on her.
Smudge enjoys sleeping, LOVES canned food, and head and cheek scratches.
She can get spicy if her tail is touched or when she’s ready to stop being pet but she does give clear warning that she’s over being adored.
She shows her gratitude and affection in her own ways and just needs a quiet and loving home.
She does well with all other kitties but keeps to herself.

Congratulations to Diane Cook for winning the spring raffle basket supporting !!
We raised $224 to help the kitties in my cat rescue!! 100% of this money will go towards paying off our very large vet bill at Coldwater Animal Hospital. Thank you all more than words could ever say - we couldn’t do it without all of your support!

Meet Mama Sylvie and Kitten Poppy!!
Poppy (black short haired female) will be ready for her forever home Mothers Day weekend! Her other 5 siblings are all adopted (before we even posted them!)
She is so sweet and snuggly.
Mama Sylvie is the most perfect kitty in the world!! She has been an AMAZING mama and is so outgoing!! Great with other cats, children and doesn’t seem to care much about the fosters dog! She had some fur loss from the hormones of nursing, but it is growing back wonderfully! She is tiny and only a kitten herself, the vet believes she is between 10 and 12 months old!
She is getting fixed May 6, and then she will be ready for her forever home after she heals for a couple days!

Welcome our newest Meep-Tortellini!!

“My counselor’s daughter and her partner are moving in June. They have a kitty that lives outside previous owner left behind. They have been feeding her for 4 years or so. She is very friendly and social, can be around another cats. Do you have a space for her?“
Since we had a few adoptions we were able to say YES!!!! Thank you to my wonderful parents for taking her in and Esther for transporting her!
She is so happy to be indoors, safe and loved.
She has a vet apt for next week and then she will be very ready for her forever home! She is so precious.

Amazing news!!! Macchiato is ADOPTED!!!!
One of my friends has been waiting for me to post the right kitty for her. She already had a large kennel set up in her home not being used. It is all PERFECT for her and meant to be!!! This morning she was already in her enclosed bed.
I am so grateful!!

Love for Misfit Meeps
This story starts with a beautiful handicapped kitty named MarciMeep. She was found in a garbage can at just three weeks old. Marceline was born with a unique brain condition, a form of cerebral hypoplasia, that caused her paralysis although she had feeling all over her body. She was able to move her neck, head, back legs slightly and her tail. She loved meowing, eating, and above all, giving and receiving love. Alanna received a call about her and immediately went to pick her up, while her condition was completely unknown at this time. The two were bonded upon first look.
Alanna took her to many vets to asses her condition and ensure quality of life. Most vets suggested euthanasia at just three weeks old as “her life would be nothing but gradual suffering” and was given a life expectancy of no more than six months. Alanna took her to Cornell Veterinary Hospital and was assured that Marci was not in any pain and with proper care could live a very comfortable life, although projected to be shorter than most other cats. Throughout the duration of Marci’s life she needed constant care, and precise attention to her needs and wants. Alanna owns her own grooming business (Furry Paws Pet Salon in Spencerport, NY) so she was able to bring her to work every day with her. Her routines included assisted feedings of canned food and water, lots of bath clean ups after going to the bathroom (she did have control of this), and most importantly constant love, snuggles and kisses. Alanna provided her with one on one attention all day, every single day, because that is exactly what Marci deserved as all special needs animals deserve. They all deserve to be given a chance, regardless of the severity of their condition, as long as they are not in pain or suffering.
Marci absolutely loved her life, and she exuded it to everyone that had the privilege of meeting her. She passed away at three and a half years old from suspected lung cancer, and diagnosed pneumonia. There were so many characteristics that made her uniquely “her” from her little tongue blep to her intense and bright green eyes. She impacted and inspired everyone that heard her story, and will continue to do so. As the founder of this cat rescue, it is my hope that through Marci’s legacy, we will save the lives of those that are considered “not adoptable” and give them all beautiful and happy lives by finding them their perfect forever homes. We must be the voice for the voiceless.
Love for Misfit Meeps is recognized as a not-for-profit cat rescue in New York State. Alanna has the dream of saving cats from Verona Street Animal Shelter in Downtown Rochester that are disabled or special needs, those that have been at the shelter for a long duration and those that are next in line for euthanasia.
Marci’s ability to inspire and legacy will continue with every single life we save.
