We have kittens that will be looking for homes soon but until then we are going through supplies awfully fast!
We could very much use tidy cats non clumping cat litter, canned kitten food, and dry blue buffalo adult cat food.
Other supplies in need are always paper towel and tide liquid laundry detergent.
These babies thank you for your support! 🤟🥰

Beautiful Mango was helping me get some business work done last night.
This gorgeous girl gets spayed Tuesday, and had a meet and greet last week, and the family loved her!!! We will let her heal for a few days with us before she starts her next adventure.
Clinics are so overwhelmed right now it’s so hard waiting for spay appointments. I always worry they are going to be pregnant before coming to us and that we aren’t going to get appointments in time.
Rescue is hard!! Don’t let anyone fool you. 🤟

Friendly reminder!!
Can you even imagine how hard it is for the critters outside in this heat? You could ease suffering in ways you didn’t even realize you could!
It costs $0 and takes 2 minutes to place a bowl of water outside (and keep it fresh daily!) 🤟

Got a wonderful update on Wilma!
She had her bloodwork retested this week, and her kidney and liver values are back on track!!! She was most likely suffering from dehydration and malnutrition before we rescued her, but with TLC and some fluids we got her feeling better.
She is back on track to get her dental and spay at Coldwater Animal Hospital on July 7th and then this spunky raccoon like kitty will be ready for her forever home!!! 🥰

I just wanted to take a moment to say as a rescue we try very hard to respond to any and all messages we receive. Even if we are at capacity, we try very hard to respond and provide other resources. Anything we pour into the rescue is completely voluntary, no one makes money off of this. In fact we donate our own earned money into these kitties!
Often if you are corresponding via email or Facebook messenger, you are speaking with my secretary Chelsea.
Texting the 490-2458 number you are corresponding with either myself Alanna, the owner, or my other secretary Jade.
Many of you have met my foster humans-Liz, my parents-Lorrie, and Vince, Chelsea and my boyfriend, Bobby.
We also have a few very reliable transporters to clinic that I would like to mention, Diane, Karen, Brad, Noelle and Dan!
We are a very small rescue, trying to save as many lives as we possibly can!
While sometimes I post more often than others often if I go radio silent, it’s not because we aren’t busy, it’s the opposite, it’s because we are helping so many cats that I don’t even have time to post!
I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for their support as this rescue was a dream that turned into reality and together we have saved countless lives. 🤟

Welcome our newest Meep!!
I’ve honestly been too exhausted to post between my 50 hour work weeks, and then everything for the rescue is on top of that.
We have multiple kittens that will be ready for homes in the next few weeks, and lots of cats that are waiting!

This sweet orange boy has an ear tip signifying he was TNR at one point. The gray kitty was scanned for a chip and found one and he was returned to his owners.

We will get the orange kitty up to date on vaccines and combo test. He is very sweet and was living in a dangerous city street, surviving in mattress pads. 💔

Mango was limping badly on her paw upon arrival. She had a vet exam two weeks ago and they couldn’t notice anything. She was not getting better so Mango received X-rays on Monday and an anti inflammatory for her swollen paw and to find out why she was limping. Luckily nothing was broken and the medicine is helping!

We can’t keep helping kitties like her without your help! Vet invoice is last photo. As you can see our vet bill is over $800 again after I just paid over $2000 on it.

Thank you for your help and support! I can’t help them without you guys.

I am raffling off another doggy basket to help raise funds!

Adopt Violet 💔

I am getting requests every single day for cat surrenders, moms and kittens outside, injured cats, dying kittens, and I’m having to refuse because I don’t have any space simply because people aren’t adopting right now. I truly know times are tough. If you are at all in a position to adopt, please consider adopting one of my many friendly girls I have right now. It’s absolutely killing me to say no to taking in more.

Violet is one of those beautiful girls just waiting for her forever home!!

Love for Misfit Meeps

This story starts with a beautiful handicapped kitty named MarciMeep. She was found in a garbage can at just three weeks old. Marceline was born with a unique brain condition, a form of cerebral hypoplasia, that caused her paralysis although she had feeling all over her body. She was able to move her neck, head, back legs slightly and her tail. She loved meowing, eating, and above all, giving and receiving love. Alanna received a call about her and immediately went to pick her up, while her condition was completely unknown at this time. The two were bonded upon first look.

Alanna took her to many vets to asses her condition and ensure quality of life. Most vets suggested euthanasia at just three weeks old as “her life would be nothing but gradual suffering” and was given a life expectancy of no more than six months. Alanna took her to Cornell Veterinary Hospital and was assured that Marci was not in any pain and with proper care could live a very comfortable life, although projected to be shorter than most other cats. Throughout the duration of Marci’s life she needed constant care, and precise attention to her needs and wants. Alanna owns her own grooming business (Furry Paws Pet Salon in Spencerport, NY) so she was able to bring her to work every day with her. Her routines included assisted feedings of canned food and water, lots of bath clean ups after going to the bathroom (she did have control of this), and most importantly constant love, snuggles and kisses. Alanna provided her with one on one attention all day, every single day, because that is exactly what Marci deserved as all special needs animals deserve. They all deserve to be given a chance, regardless of the severity of their condition, as long as they are not in pain or suffering.

Marci absolutely loved her life, and she exuded it to everyone that had the privilege of meeting her. She passed away at three and a half years old from suspected lung cancer, and diagnosed pneumonia. There were so many characteristics that made her uniquely “her” from her little tongue blep to her intense and bright green eyes. She impacted and inspired everyone that heard her story, and will continue to do so. As the founder of this cat rescue, it is my hope that through Marci’s legacy, we will save the lives of those that are considered “not adoptable” and give them all beautiful and happy lives by finding them their perfect forever homes. We must be the voice for the voiceless.

Love for Misfit Meeps is recognized as a not-for-profit cat rescue in New York State. Alanna has the dream of saving cats from Verona Street Animal Shelter in Downtown Rochester that are disabled or special needs, those that have been at the shelter for a long duration and those that are next in line for euthanasia.
