Babygirl is doing so well and I so wish I could keep her forever but I need to save more lives!
She is getting a vaccine booster and we have to wait a little bit to get her spayed just to make sure her lungs can handle it. 🤟
She LOOOOOOVES canned cat food and eating with her besties in the cat room. She loves not being isolated in the cage. She’s always rubbing all over all the other kitties, it’s sooooo sweet!

PLEASE MEET MOWGLI 🥰
This outgoing little boy was found all alone. He loves to explore and is passionate about play. Mowgli is fast, athletic and nonstop. He loves toys that make noise or are filled with catnip. He will scamper for cover when someone walks in the room like he got caught in the cookie jar but is quick to emerge when the coast is clear. One of his nicknames is Phantom (of the Opera) as his face appears to be half covered in a mask. This soft kitty starts purring as he walks up to you anticipating the love connection. Mowgli will do a figure 8 around your legs and rub up against your face in bed. He is eager to play with all the adults and kittens in the house even if they are not so eager to play with him. Mowgli is wormed, on flea prevention, is combo test negative, has had his rabies and kitten vaccinations, and is neutered.

Please meet Sir Oliver 🐱
Oliver was rescued from an overcrowded colony in the city. He spent the first few years of his life competing for food and shelter. Oliver is very tolerant of the younger cats at his foster home, but he does not enjoy when they try to play with him. He is very independent but would probably do well with another adult cat. He occasionally growls when the younger cats get too close to him, but he is not aggressive towards them. Oliver loves attention and being pet. He will be a great addition to a family who has calm children and/or pets!!

I call these two CHONKS OF LOVE!!!
I feel I know why Sunny’s first adoption didn’t work out-these two are BFF since the second they met. I’d really love them to be adopted together so much that the adoption fee is $50 for the pair!!

She finishes her treatment for lungworm tomorrow. She finished her antibiotics this week. She is THRIVING!!! She is playing like crazy and truly enjoying life again!!
She is a little timid and shy, and will need a loving and wonderful person to care for her! I will be picky where she gets adopted bc I’m head over heels for her and she’s been through so much!!!!
She is TINY. Photos don’t do her justice. She’s just barely 3 lb at 7 months old!
I will bring her to the veterinarian for a follow up this week to see where to go from here and when she can get fixed!!

NEW UPDATE ON SUNNY!
He has never had any issues with any of the cats in our home or foster room. He is BFF with Chucky his orange twin. They are out together all the time. (Chucky gets neutered on 12/10!) He is also the dad to Babygirl and licks her face whenever she is out.
I am not sure why there were issues with him and the initial adoptive home but he is here to tell you all that he wants a home SO badly!!
He is SO ready. He wants out of our foster room more than anything.
Meet Sunny! (FIV +)☀️
Sunny was a stray kitty we found in the winter months around our house last year. We brought him in, socialized him and got him healthy. He was adopted but unfortunately his placement did not suit him best even though he was very loved.
Sunny is a very special boy!! He loves to talk and he has the tiniest baby meow for how large he is. He loves to be held like a baby. He wants to be near you always and he is such a happy boy.
He has decompressed with us and now it is time for him to find his forever home.
He is SO outgoing and friendly. All you have to do is come meet him and you will fall head over heels in love with him. He wants to be the center of your world!!

We saved another kitty last night. He was begging to come inside a house, and was devouring the food she put out immediately. While we don’t really have room it’s hard not to open up space when you know it’s so cold out there and they are struggling.
I am not sure if this one will be friendly or not, if they are male or female, or chipped yet. The kitty is curious and meowing at us but growling we well and very scared. We are letting them decompress and stock up on food until we try to scan for a chip:
Poor baby is absolutely starving. We got them last evening and in that time they’ve already devoured four large cans and a full bowl of dry food. No potty yet or throw up. This kitty really was starving. 💔

This was a kitty Maci we rescued from being left inside a carrier outside the doors of a kill shelter and she was scheduled for euthanasia because she was semi-feral. While she did not want to be an indoor kitty, my friend Nicole welcomed her barn to her. She has loved her from afar and she had lived there for years. Crazy coming from city life to a horse farm and not being afraid whatsoever. Barn homes for cats that need relocation and are too aggressive for adoption are true life savers. While Love for Misfit Meeps is a no kill rescue, we needed a safe placement for her and we are so beyond grateful to Nicole for this beautiful update. 🐱❣️

It’s been such a long week but CHAI IS BACK HOME!!
It is such a small world. Where she lived originally was two blocks away from us. She went back there and was under their deck. They called us and we got her back right away!! They unfortunately can’t care for her or they would take her inside!
She is back with us receiving her medications to heal her facial wounds, which look a bit worse than last time we saw her. She does seem very grumpy to be confined to indoors. We will have to figure out a safe way to keep her happy! 🤟
I will need to retest her FIV/leukemia status and start her steroid treatment again but as it down poured today I was so grateful to know she was indoor, safe and dry.
Thank you to everyone who shared my posts and wished for her safe return! Welcome home Chai Chai!! I’ve only known her 2 weeks but the second they come into my rescue I vow to take care of her and find them perfect forever homes when they are ready read.
I’d say she’s happy to see her foster mama. 🤟🤟
Chai Chai is already looking so much better after just a few days of care!!! The steroids and antibiotics are really helping to heal her nose and facial wounds. She is the sweetest girl in this world. As soon as she is healed and spayed she will make the very best companion. 🤟💙 She has another vet visit in a week, please consider donating to her care.

Meet our newest Meep-Chai!!
This poor baby was spotted in the Greece area and was coming around a home every day for food. She would come from the woods whenever she was called.
I saw a post about her needing help and we answered the call. She is the most loving girl in the whole world!
She had an urgent vet visit (at Coldwater Animal Hospital) yesterday and the vet believes she has an autoimmune disease. She has scabs all over her entire body. The veterinarian is unsure where the facial wounds came from.
She was tested negative for leukemia and FIV and we are so beyond grateful for that.
She was given an antibiotic injection and we have her on steroids twice a day. Her nose is already looking better after two days of care.
She is very underweight. She is very hungry and loves canned food. We are also giving her Purina hydration packs.
If you would like to donate to her care and help pay for her vet visit, we would greatly appreciate it. She has another veterinarian check in two weeks. She was unable to receive vaccinations but we are hopeful she will be doing much better at her next appointment!
Thank you so much to her rescuers Gianna and her son (he is the one who named her!) for caring and bringing her to us.
She is safe now and already so loved!!

This little girl was found wandering in the middle of the road and was so friendly she practically jumped into the rescuers arms!

Update on Stitchy!!! This was the first night he went home. I would say he is more than happy. The end of the video killed me. Her other Meeps disapproving face 😭🤣

Love for Misfit Meeps
This story starts with a beautiful handicapped kitty named MarciMeep. She was found in a garbage can at just three weeks old. Marceline was born with a unique brain condition, a form of cerebral hypoplasia, that caused her paralysis although she had feeling all over her body. She was able to move her neck, head, back legs slightly and her tail. She loved meowing, eating, and above all, giving and receiving love. Alanna received a call about her and immediately went to pick her up, while her condition was completely unknown at this time. The two were bonded upon first look.
Alanna took her to many vets to asses her condition and ensure quality of life. Most vets suggested euthanasia at just three weeks old as “her life would be nothing but gradual suffering” and was given a life expectancy of no more than six months. Alanna took her to Cornell Veterinary Hospital and was assured that Marci was not in any pain and with proper care could live a very comfortable life, although projected to be shorter than most other cats. Throughout the duration of Marci’s life she needed constant care, and precise attention to her needs and wants. Alanna owns her own grooming business (Furry Paws Pet Salon in Spencerport, NY) so she was able to bring her to work every day with her. Her routines included assisted feedings of canned food and water, lots of bath clean ups after going to the bathroom (she did have control of this), and most importantly constant love, snuggles and kisses. Alanna provided her with one on one attention all day, every single day, because that is exactly what Marci deserved as all special needs animals deserve. They all deserve to be given a chance, regardless of the severity of their condition, as long as they are not in pain or suffering.
Marci absolutely loved her life, and she exuded it to everyone that had the privilege of meeting her. She passed away at three and a half years old from suspected lung cancer, and diagnosed pneumonia. There were so many characteristics that made her uniquely “her” from her little tongue blep to her intense and bright green eyes. She impacted and inspired everyone that heard her story, and will continue to do so. As the founder of this cat rescue, it is my hope that through Marci’s legacy, we will save the lives of those that are considered “not adoptable” and give them all beautiful and happy lives by finding them their perfect forever homes. We must be the voice for the voiceless.
Love for Misfit Meeps is recognized as a not-for-profit cat rescue in New York State. Alanna has the dream of saving cats from Verona Street Animal Shelter in Downtown Rochester that are disabled or special needs, those that have been at the shelter for a long duration and those that are next in line for euthanasia.
Marci’s ability to inspire and legacy will continue with every single life we save.
