Here’s a little background story behind our latest product, Dehydrated Haddock Skins 🐟

These Haddock are caught by my husband almost daily, out of Scituate, Ma. They are then washed, brought home, and then placed in the dehydrator for about 7 hours.

We pride ourselves on providing our customers with fresh, local, sustainability harvested fish.

Meet Katie and her dog, Rue. Katie is a great friend of mine who is currently experiencing a dog owner’s worst nightmare. Rue tore her foot and has a systemic infection bordering on sepsis. Katie has been working around the clock with her vet, who believe there may be a foreign object lodged into the bone of the foot. Due to Rue’s age and the infection it is becoming very risky and the vet bills are piling up.

Katie and Rue remind me a lot of myself and my dog Jenni. Katie rescued Rue when she was 19 years old and the two have formed an amazing bond; they are best friends. Rue is the reason Katie started her business, .

The story behind DogSnacks 🦴
I was tired of feeding my dogs mass-produced, chalky, lifeless junk. So many times I would pick up a bag of treats because they looked “cute”, but the second I turn over and read the ingredients it was filled with things I couldn’t even pronounce. These aren’t things I would put in my body, so why should I feed them to my dog? This led me to start making my own! All with organic ingredients I knew would be great for my four legged friends. Simultaneously, I had just adopted my second dog from , an organization out of Aruba. I wanted to adopt ALL of the dogs! Reality quickly set in, but I still was eager to help! Then Life After Rescue was born! I took the DogSnacks I had been making for my own dogs and decided to create a business. For every DogSnack sold, 10% is donated back to dogs in need. So not only are we feeding dogs healthier snacks, we are helping dogs find a loving home.
