Hi Friends! It’s been awhile since I’ve posted on this page so I wanted to do that today, to give everyone a little update. As I stated last year, I am no longer able to coordinate fostering for people going into treatment for SUD. Unfortunately the demand far outwieghs the resources available. While the community was amazing when it came to helping with food and vet care, I found that fosters and PROFESSIONAL trainers were hard to come by. And those 2 things are necessary for this program to work.

I have sense directed my efforts to animals that belong to un/underhoused community. This is my attempt to….
1. Help the people and animals with access to free supplies and vet care.
2. Prevent adding to the overcrowding of rescues and shelters, which often results in a horrible life for the dog and/or euthanization.
3. Protect the emotional bond between the owner and animal.

As most of you know, I work directly with the un/underhoused community. I build relationships and trust, and do what I can to help care for their animals. I bring supplies (food, leashes, wormer, etc) out into the community, and I also advocate for vaccinating and spay/neuter. All of this is done by donations. Now that the sun is out, I’ll be seeing and helping a lot of people and a lot of pups.

That being said, I’m going to close this Fostering For Recovery page. If you want to follow my efforts with the community animals, and you don’t follow my main page, please do that. We’ve had great engagement on this page, and I really hope to continue that on my personal page. I hope everyone is has a great summer!

One of my most asked questions is “Why do the homeless have animals if they can’t even provide for themselves”. And the answer to that is, they aren’t buying dogs, or filling out adoption applications. They are caring for and bonding with animals that ALREADY live outside and are defenseless. These dogs are going to exist, and need our help, regardless if they have a person to love them or not. So I personally like to support the effort that they make to make sure the animals are loved and cared for.

Donations like these are essential for these animals that live outside with their families. Thanks again to Libert Place for Women for their support!

While this isn’t my son’s crew, it is his station that saved these precious pups yesterday from a house fire. Let’s hear it for the first responders that make the 4 legged lives just as much of a priority as the 2 legged lives!! 👏🏼 👏🏼👏🏼

Dog clothes!! Winter and summer!! Male and female!! XS-L!!

If you know of someone in need, (a person that lives outside with their dog or frequently has to walk with their dog in the cold), pls let me know. These are free for those in need.

If you can afford a small donation toward dog food/spay/neuter, as a trade, I’ll definitely take you up on that as well. Any donations will be used for animals that live outside with their families. ❄️🩵

If anyone has a need for dog food, shoot me a msg! I also have some leashes, collars, and collapsable bowls. I’m happy to deliver to Madison Co area.

Also…. I’m still taking donations for animals that live outside with their families. If you have any old dog or cat supplies, I can also pick up in Madison Co. 🫶🏼

My whole heart melts when community dogs that we’ve helped in the past come and say hi to me.

We were able to raise enough money to have Sassy Grace spayed a few months ago, and we keep her chunky with dogfood donations! 🐶

This girl, Dixie, belongs to a person in long term treatment for SUD. Dixie is currently being fostered but that arrangement is ending soon.

Dixie’s owner just needs a few more months to fully complete his program. Can anyone foster her until then?

Amy Brown, is this something you could help with?
