The Dog Savers is a non-profit 501c3 (donations tax deductible) that was founded by a volunteer from Maricopa County Animal Care and Control that is committed to saving dogs from being put down. The Dog Savers networks and saves the most urgent dogs in Maricopa County that are on the E-list. Using social networking and paid advertising, The Dog Savers raises funds to network these most urgent dogs

out of the shelter by finding rescues, fosters and/or adopters, including providing funds for the dog’s training, rehabilitation, socialization, medical care, and boarding. TIGER 🐾 I am a 2 yr old 50lb male Brindle/White American Bull-Dog mix. (BIG TIME AFFECTION HERE!). I am super sweet boy and easy to walk too!
I am very smart and I will sit when asked and then take my treats very gently. I will lay down and shake my paw with you when asked and I will give hugs for affection.
I had a altercation in the lobby (it wasn't my fault) when my finder was surrendering me, BUT I am non reactive with dogs in the shelter! Please come and meet me before I am gone for good

RIVIA 🐾 I am a 3 year old 55lb male Red Rhodesian Ridgeback/Mix (DOG FRIENDLY) I was found wandering around. My "Finder" brought me home and I LOVED everyone! I knew how to use the doggie door too! I also did great with the other big dog in the home. I do pull a bit on the leash but that is so fixable. I am really one big love big! Please come and meet me in person before the shelter takes my life away!

ANNABELLE 🎀 I am a 1-yr-old 35lb spayed female White/Brown Australian Cattle Dog/Beagle Harrier. (I'M DOG FRIENDLY) I was found in a field where my finder had a teenage kid and I did fine with the teenager. I am initially timid and scared, but once I know you I am a lover. I will sit in your lap and give kisses. I like my stuffy toy and playing in the Doggie Pool. Due to timidness (shelter wants me w/ children 5+. Im just scared in here please come and meet me!

BRAVO 🐾 I am a 5-year-old 55lb neutered male Brindle/White American Staffordshire Terrier/Mix I love kids and people. I am crate-trained and I walk
great on a leash. I am a very chill pup needing a family. I lived with my family for a short time and their dog did not like me so the shelter requires

BRODY 🐾 I am a 5-year-old 45lb male Black/Tan Australian Cattle /Kelpie /German Shepherd/Mix. (CONSIDERED DOG FRIENDLY) . Boy I am fun. I love to play fetch with tennis balls. I am super loving and friendly. I lean in for pets. There is really nothing wrong with me I am just stressing in my kennel and *p**f* I'm on the Elist. Please come and save my life!

WALNUT 🐾 I am a 2 year old 50lb neutered male Brindle/White Bull Terrier/Dutch Shepperd. (SEE MY VIDEO-BIGGEST CUDDLEBUG !) I am the sweetest boy and I will try to be in your lap too!. I listen well- I come when called, know "sit" and will walk nice on a leash! I haven't been walked n weeks (due to lack of volunteers) so now I'm Elisted for kennel stress. Please come and meet me before they take my life away!

ZEUS I am a 3 year old 40lb neutered male Gray/White American Mini Pit Bull Terrier. I was found wandering around and the "finders" brought LOVED me! They placed me in a crate that scared me, I broke out of it and chased the cat. So, I am not allowed to be around small animals. In actuality, I am a really a calm and sweet boy. A volunteer and her 6 year old son was in the yard with me and I LOVED her son butte shelter doesn't think I am good with children? (We are perplexed). I hope you come and meet me! You will adore me I promise!

TRUMAN 🐾 I am a 2 year old 55lb neutered male white/black Staffordshire Terrier. (see my video--I AM THE BIGEST LOVEBUG!) I was adopted for a month and they LOVED me but I did chew on a few things in the house and went through the garbage. I got along great with the kids HOWEVER because I played a bit rough the shelter THINKS I should be in a home with no children. (WE DISAGREE! because the prior home stated I was loving with the kids-AND IN THE YARD IN THE SHELTER I AM NOT JUMPY AT ALL!). I am smart, I know "sit", I am great on walks and potty trained. Please come and meet me. This is tragic they have me to lose my life soon!...

BANDIT 🐾I am a 5 yr old 48lb neutered male black/white Mini Terrier Mix. (I AM DOG FRIENDLY LOVE KIDS AND ADULTS!) My story is sad for sure my owner left me at the park while I was playing with the other dogs (why are people so unkind?) . A nice person found me over heating and helped me and I really loved playing with there dogs and I really like them too but they had no room so they brought me to the shelter. I am potty trained, know "sit" and tke treats nice. I am a fav. here in the shelter and have been here so long the stress is getting to me. Please come and save my life! Mcacc will put me down on time! (they are full!)

SKIPPY 🐾I'm a 2 yr old 30lb male, Black/White Welsh Corgi Car/Border Collie, (CUTENESS OVERLOAD!) I love kids and adults and am great on a leash! I'm eager to please and I will sit and take treats gently. This shelter life is not for me and they are requiring I be an only dog just because there was a scuffle with another dog when they brought me in here. Geez.... I am out of my element here this is a scary place for a little guy like me so I think you understand how a scuffle could happen? Maybe I might be "ok" with other dog's? Who knows. Please don't judge me on shelter stress alone....

SKIPPY 🐾I'm a 2 yr old 30lb male, Black/White Welsh Corgi Car/Border Collie, (CUTENESS OVERLOAD!) I love kids and adults and am great on a leash! I'm eager to please and I will sit and take treats gently. This shelter life is not for me and they are requiring I be an only dog just because there was a scuffle with another dog when they brought me in here. Geez.... I am out of my element here this is a scary place for a little guy like me so I think you understand how a scuffle could happen? Maybe I might be "ok" with other dog's? Who knows. Please don't judge me on shelter stress alone....

FERNANDO 🐾 I am a 5-year-old 50lb Neutered male Tri Color German Shepherd/Mix. (SO CALM AND GENTLE) I am shy and scared in this place and I have been cooped up in here way too long outside I love to be brushed and loved on. I am easygoing and a slow walker, I love to take in all the smells on my walks. Treats are a favorite of mine especially hot dogs. I will make you a gentle companion.

MUSE 🐾 I am a 2-year-old 53lb neutered male Brown/White Belgian Malinois Mix. (I'M DOG FREINDLY!) ) I am a brilliant boy and affectionate! I know "sit" and "shake", I learn easily and I love to go hiking and exploring. I take treats easily and lean in for my pets. I am calm and relaxed around other dogs. I am a Belgian Malinois and need someone who has an understanding of my breed meaning, I do best with mental and physical stimulation.

SIGMUND 🐾 I am a 2-year old 55lb male White/Tan Staffordshire Terrier. (I'M DOG FRIENDLY) I was found wandering and some children ages 8 and 11 found me, I got long great with them! I laid on the floor with them in their home and was quite the lap dog with them! However the shelter is requiring I live with older kids 12 and up? (PERPLEXING & WE DISAGREE!!!) (Sometimes the shelter is not accurate with their requirements- I was great with the kids!). I will also say that woman are more calming to me then men. AUSTIN 🐾 I am a 7 year old 54lb Neutered, Black Mouth Cur/Anatolian Shepherd. (GENTLE CALM, LOVING & WALKS BY YOUR SIDE!) I was found by someone and I followed him home. He took me in and gave me water. I was around his German shepherd dog for a bit but he didn't want a second dog so he brought me to the shelter. I was not destructive in his home and I was a bit timid probably because I am lost and not sure why I am here? I hope this is not how it ends for me, please come and see me!

TYSON I'm a 6 yr old Male, 50 lbs. Great Dane/Germ Shepherd mix. My story is sad. first, I am underfed! (see how skinny I am!) I was with my family since I was just a puppy. I lived in the home with them for 6 years and another dog. Everything was fine! But suddenly they brought me here to shelter because "they said" I got territorial over my food with the other dog in the house! Well, first of all, dont feed us next to each other and dont "open feed". Now they want me to be a only dog in the home ( probably fine with other dog's) . Once I am out of my kennel, I am playful and fun! I love to play fetch and love stuffed toys too. I will come to you for pets and affection. I'm just not liking my kennel and 'Us dog's" rarely get walked here anymore! Will you come and meet me before they take my life away?

Asking for your thoughts Arizona? Mcacc has been, and MORE THAN EVER NOW, a "kill shelter" . They have this Emblem (on Mcacc website) below stating that they are a "NO KILL SHELTER 2023". This is misleading the public. When a member of society wants to surrender their dog, they BELIEVE that Mcacc will NOT euthanize their dog because it is being surrendered to a "NO KILL SHELTER" . If you want to familiarize with the dogs that are perpetually being dumped on the kill list by whom is running the shelter now here is the portal: https://apps.pets.maricopa.gov/Priority/ . Sadly, for the first time since The Dog Savers has been inception 2018, we have lost MORE GOOD ADOPTABLE DOGS (no bites, no aggression) THEN EVER BEFORE . We are tired of losing loving dogs that have not been walked for weeks that are declining in their kennels and thus get "tossed" on the euthanasia list for kennel stress....Please comment you thoughts AZ! email concerns to emails in comments.

FRITO 🐾(dog friendly) I'm a 2 year old 50lb neutered Fawn/White Staffordshire Terrier. I came in as a stray and the person who found me LOVED me but, his dog did not. So he brought me to shelter. I am great on leash, love to go for walks. Love attention and seem to be friendly with EVERYONE I meet! (see my video of me giving kisses) . HANK 🐾 I am a 2 year old 65lb male Black/Brown Beauceron, I was found as a stray in Chandler and the person who found me LOVED me but couldn't keep me. I will sit at your feet and take all of the affection you can give me. I LOVE to run around and play in the yard! I also give lots of kisses too! I have had some training because I sit when I here the click of the gate! I sure hope this is not how it will end for me....hope to see you here to save me!

ARLO 🐾 I am a 2 year old 55lb neutered, Black/Brown German Shepherd, I am a bit timid at first but then when I know you I am a love bug!(see my video in post). I love affection and being petted all over! I'm good on a leash and take treats gently too! If you have a dog, PLEASE go slow with intro. Shelter think I need to be only dog but they are not requiring it.

I calm down nicely. Toys and treats are not really my thing, but I do love affection from people and petted all over. I will even give kisses just give me a little time I am one that explores at a leisurely pace. I am calm and sweet but a bit timid. The Dog Savers is a 501(c)3 that was founded by a volunteer from Maricopa County Animal Care and Control that is committed to saving dogs from being put down. The Dog Savers networks and saves the most urgent dogs in Maricopa County that are on the E-list. Using social networking and paid advertising, The Dog Savers raises funds to network these most urgent dogs out of the shelter by finding rescues, fosters and/or adopters, including providing funds for the dog’s training, rehabilitation, socialization, medical care, and boarding.
