Mimosa & Mai Tai have been doing so well at all of their milestones. We don't think they care about them though, they are just two sisters who love each other.

We have enjoyed them every step of the way. We are looking for their forever homes for them. If you would like more information on these two CH kittens, please email us at [email protected].

We have had babies coming in all weekend. We have scrambled to find placement within our foster care family or with others. Trying to make sure no kitten falls through the cracks and ends up at the shelter. This takes a team, not just our team, but a team of other rescues working together.

It gets stressful for all of us. But at the end of the day, we figure it out, somehow. Whatever rescue you support, please keep supporting them. They (we) are all exhausted and the second round of bottle babies is hitting hard. Money does not solve all the problems, it helps but we need volunteers, especially ones willing to bottle feed.

Breakfast of the champions 🏆

Mimosa & Mai Tai have mastered eating, drinking, litter box and so many other milestones. Our experience with them has been beautiful.

Soon these two will need a home. Obviously, this takes a special home, someone who loves CH kittens, someone who would love to give them a safe, loving environment.

Meanwhile, these two will begin their daily routine. Breakfast, kitty coffee, playtime, nap. Lunch, binge on Sesame Street, maybe a dip in the kitty pool, big nap. Evening brings dinner and total cuddle time with the humans. Ok, well that happens all day long. ❤️

We need some help from all of you! These two ladies have been in our care way to long. After losing their home when their mother went homeless we took them in. Nobody seems to have interest in them and we desperately need a permanent home for them soon!

Helen & Anya are quite bonded and we will not seperate them. Helen is slightly vision impaired, but she sees shadows and gets around fine. Anya is about 7 years old, and Helen is 3 years old.

They are shy and it will take them a few months to relax. You will just need to let them decompress and give some grace to let them figure out that they finally have a home for good. They may not be lap kitties (that could change), but after getting to know you, they will sleep in bed with you (as you can see), and hang out in your space. They will make someone a great companions to have around. They just need a chance. We have to find a home for them by end of the year.

No younger children, no dogs. They have made friends with the foster's own kitties.

Can you be their hero??? Will you give them a place to call home or do you know someone that might benefit from some furry companionship? Help us find a family for them.

Busy Caturday!

The second round of kittens is starting to come! Today these three came into Blue Pearl. Two were nursing on their deceased mom, and one was found on the road. It is extremely important to get the babies turned into ER clinics quickly. They are moved on to PCAS, and they do not have the resources to care for them. This leads to immediate euthanization.

We can't do this without you. We need more bottle feeders, and we need donations for formula and food. We also need funds for their spay/neuter, vaccines, snap-tests, dewormings, microchips, and as-needed medical.

These three only weigh 3.5 oz. But they are doing well!

She was found on the east coast last week and brought to a local Vet clinic.

She is being bottle-fed and will soon be weaning over to big-girl food.

Tabitha finally found a new mom tonight. She was trapped during a TNVR project and we instantly could see that she needed off the streets. It took some time to find the right home, but tonight she helping a broken hearted lady recover from the loss of her long-term kitty. Tabitha loves to give hugs and we think this is exactly what the Dr. ordered.

Meet Badger,

Badger came to us last week after a lady had been trying to bottle-feed him while she was on vacation here. He unfortunately had pneumonia when we picked him up. We have been providing care and today he received a great report from Dr. Pierce at Island Life Animal Hospital. He is well on his way to becoming the cutest little boy that ever lived. 💜

We have had lots of adorable lately and we love every minute of it!

🧶Meet Mai Tai & Mimosa!

We have held off posting about them until now as they have special needs and we were digging in with learning how to care for them. (It is our first time). These two sweet angels came in a few weeks ago after their mother was hit by a car. We pretty quickly figured out the we did indeed have our first CH kittens. I immediately reached out to other experienced rescuers who have had CH kittens to make sure we covered all the angles and could properly care for them. For those who are not familiar with CH, here is a brief description.

"Feline cerebellar hypoplasia, also known as CH or wobbly kitten syndrome, is a neurologic condition that affects kittens and cats. It’s most often caused when a pregnant cat is exposed to feline parvovirus, the virus that causes Feline Panleukopenia, whether from a natural infection or from a vaccination. Kittens exposed to this virus while in the womb have hypoplasia, incomplete development, of the cerebellum, a part of the central nervous system responsible for balance and movement." - National Kitten Coalition

Mimosa is mild and Mai Tai would be considered moderate. You would hardly know anything was even wrong with Mimosa. Some of the pics here are from intake, and then current pics. We have them eating, drinking out of dishes and using the litter box. We will be showing you videos this week on how they both accomplish these tasks and with them playing. 🤩

They have been such a joy to raise! Pure love from these two.💜

Join us for a heartwarming story!

It was a typical afternoon in the middle of May at Bass Pro Shops in Tampa, Florida. A heavy storm had just passed through the area and an employee heard the cries of a kitten. He went outside to investigate and found the baby wedged under the ramp of the receiving bay door. He crawled underneath and managed to retrieve him. It was cold, wet, covered in mud and clearly terrified. He brought the kitten inside and they quickly rinsed the mud off, dried it, and bundled it in an old T-shirt that their HR coordinator had. It was a unanimous decision to name this kitten, Johnny after Johnny Morris, Founder of Bass Pro Shops. Tammy took the kitten home and started bottle-feeding it, knowing she now had a new family member.

The following day, Pro Bass Tracker Marine Center’s Yard Attendant was near the boat showroom at the front of the store, when a customer came in saying there was a kitten drowning in the water feature. This was the first day their water feature was up and running after being down for quite some time. Apparently, the mother cat moved her kittens to the water feature the day before to escape the storm. He immediately ran outside and saw that someone had pulled the kitten out of the water and laid it on a rock. It was not breathing and showed no signs of life. He would not accept this and began to lightly compress the kitten’s chest, and it eventually started coughing out water. The kitten was finally breathing. He placed it in a box with some old shop towels and before long, the kitten was alert. Appropriately, this kitten’s name would be Tracker. The Tracker Service Manager contacted Kneady Kitty Rescue and took Tracker to their foster Sabrina.

Tammy, who had been raising his sister, got in touch with Sabrina eight weeks later, after falling in love with Johnny (Johnni, a girl) decided that Johnni and Tracker should be together. After Kneady Kitty, who had no idea there was a sibling, was contacted, they were immediately reunited!

Message from Tammy, “Every morning, I look at these two small, beautiful creatures and am reminded of what miracles they both are. I spoke to both of my coworkers recently and reminded them that it’s because of them that these little beings are living their best life. More often, we need to take a step back to realize that things happen in life that might seem inconsequential, are more impactful than we could ever imagine! One word, one gesture or decision can be part of a miracle in someone (or something’s) life.”

Meet Slim Shady!

Slim Shady was found on HWY 19 trying not to get hit. There was a very helpful squirrel trying to help him get across. Thankfully a previous adopter saw him and grabbed him up to safety. He was so scared when he came in. It is likely someone may have thrown him out of their car.

He really needs another kitty friend in the home. He cries when the foster's kitty is not around.

He seems to take to men really well. He is doing great and is ready for his new family. We would not recommend young children or dogs for him at this time.

Missy & Eris are watching for this so-called storm to arrive. We are hoping to surprise them with their new family. So far, nobody has come and met them. They are sweet sisters who as you can see, clearly love each other.

Eris is super confident and will command the room quickly. Missy is a little shyer right off, but once she is relaxed she settles in.

They have been doing great with older kids, other cats, and dogs.

Meet Eris & Missy

These girls have been let down multiple times already in their short lives. It's time to change this.

🧶Eris is a sweet, very playful and loving kitten and wants to know what your doing all the time.. She has a bit of confidence about her and loves to hang out with you.

Tinkerbell is officially ready for adoption! She had her big girl surgery yesterday and now the work begins to find her the right family.

Tinkerbell is fun, hands down, and fast. She is in play mode 70% of her day and then hits your lap for a hard nap.

Tinkerbell loves to watch out the window and will check out what you are snacking on to make sure it's not something you could be sharing.

If you are looking for a real sweetheart that will make you smile, look no further!

She absolutely must go to a home that has another kitty that will play with her. She thrives on it. She is good with cats, dogs, and kids.
