…..5 month old M german Sheperd puppy. Not using treats (treats allow you to get your dogs attention, but not their respect)! Treats are great for teaching new commands, but for functionality with medium - high distraction environments can be very challenging.

Also notice how slow and patient with him I’m being. It takes way more discipline for him to slow down to match my speed, as opposed to me trying to speed up to match his.

The e-collar can be a great tool IF -
1️⃣ it is used to EXPAND the owner’s INFLUENCE over their dog. ❌ NOT as a quick fix, a distraction, a threat, or a lazy button.
2️⃣ It is INTRODUCED to the dog as a direct correction from the owner! ❌NOT as a correction that came from a certain boundary in the yard, a correction out thin hair (can make the dog less stable and less reliable), or as a correction that came solely from the remote (letting your dog see the remote when correcting them)

Hendrix and I got invited to the Great American Teach In last week! We had a great time educating kids on the importance of dog training, and what it’s like to be a dog trainer. I couldn’t be more proud of my boy and how amazing he was with every kid, even as young as 4. He loves to show off for a crowd, and we had the best time. Thank you so much for having us out!

This was a particularly challenging and stressful case for me, if not THE MOST challenging case this year! I’m so grateful for my training skill set and my team , because SOMEHOW in just a FEW WEEKS we were able to acquire this 10 month old, UNTRAINED, Male, intact, BRT from out of state. Groom him (🙋🏾‍♂️), socialize him, desensitize him, and get him trained! Trained so well that his blind owner (Whom he had never met before) could take a 2-day trip down to CLT from NYC and handle him with very minimal assistance from my staff and I. There had already been a million & one obstacles in this man’s way and I was very concerned that we hadn’t done enough to assist him! I know every dog we train makes a difference in someone’s life, but some cases just hit different 🥲.

You can only buy TRAINED dogs and puppies from me. Thas it, Thas all 🤣. I’m not about to haggle with nobody lol. I don’t have a price for them untrained because it’s not on the menu.
