Another Gruffy Update!!

Tuesday we saw the vet and he did X-rays. The bones have shifted a tad bit. But the pin he placed is still holding the bones together. So he is hopeful the bones will continue to fuse together and there will be minimal issues with her walking with that leg!

Today I dropped her off to her FOREVER home! I am very thankful to my friend, for taking her💖 It was hard leaving her, but I know she will be well cared for and safe now!

Gruffy Update:

Gruffy was originally scheduled for surgery last Friday. However, the surgeon had over 15 surgeries in front of her and could not get to hers. So, we had to wait until Monday to take her back. She had the surgery done Monday after hours, and had to stay overnight for observation. The surgeon said it was a difficult surgery, but we’re hopeful that the pin he placed will stay and her bones will fuse together. Now it’s time to watch for any kind of complications. We are praying there aren’t any! I will have to bring her back every week for up to 8 weeks for splint and bandage changes. Unfortunately she will have to be anesthetized each time to make sure the splint is on tight and no one gets hurt!

I want to say Thank you again to all of our friends who donated to her care as well as checked in on Gruffy throughout this crazy time! This sweet little girl has had it rough, but she will have the best life from here on out, I’ve made sure of it!

Gruffy update:
I took her in on Friday for surgery. However, the surgeon was not able to do her surgery that day, due to being overbooked. She is rescheduled for Tomorrow. I was able to get more pain medication for her for the time being. So, let’s hope and pray tomorrow goes well for our Gruffy!

To all of you that have donated towards her treatment, we are so grateful to each and everyone one of you! Thank you for helping this sweet girl!

Reminder.. more pets are lost on this day than any other day of the year! Make sure to walk your dogs on a leash, put them in a crate or a room. To help ease their anxiety, give meds prior to nightfall so that it has enough time to kick in. Turn on calming music and keep lights dim.

The party probably won’t end after tonight, it’ll go on all weekend. So be aware and ready. These poor animals won’t know what is going on!
