Monty, found in ditch, mostly thrown from a vehicle window, brought to Quailwings Rescue
Monty 10 weeks old, 14#, BC mix, Broken pelvis, Tibia, fibula, hip sockets crushed, Rimaydal for constant pain for 4 weeks, confined care in crate only for 4 weeks as the injuries heal, some injuries will never heal correctly due to bones not being set at time of injury
Vaccinated, medication
Ongoing medical care and love
Needs prayers, love, funds for medical care, bones, soft bed for pelvis and bones to knit, toys, rehab after cleared by vet.
Challenges keep him calm yet enrich his environment, 4 weeks is a long time to keep a puppy quiet

5/22/24 7 months of waiting was over today. Emuishere and Fievel were reunited in their new forever home. Emuishere adopted 10/18/23 Fievel 5/22/24
5/3/24 Every litter with but especially without mom causes exhaustion. Fosters question, "Why was this a good idea. Will I ever get more than 2 hours of sleep? Didn't I already feed this one?" Then mysteriously, dogs are drinking and eating on their own.
5/2/24 Long day, settling Kittens after vaccinations. Tail Wagger went from Hissy Sissy to Cuddle Bug. Magnum was adopted to his forever home. Puppies all made it through the night. Gathering supplies from all local fosters to fed, warm and keep them safe. They drink a can of puppy milk trying to catch up from their days of starvation. Their eyes are beginning to open. Loverboy joined general population with the other cats. This evening, Ginger Ale joined the group. Both were happy to be out of isolation. Feeding puppies takes an hour, then you start all over again. Prepping paperwork for the cats being vetted tomorrow. More highway miles for fosters. @Quailwings-Rescue 1042
2/28/24 Hey Tina my mom's dog just went to the vet for hypo...something or other calcium deficiency and I have to feed my puppies by bottle/syringe I was wondering if you had any tips or tricks to hand feeding several at once holes.Just curious.
Called the fosters in and gathered the pups. Six 2.5 weeks Heeler mix pups. Helped them learn to drink from a bowl. Please send prayers for these dears and the extremely ill mama Moo. DOB 4/10/24

All of these supposedly feral cats are actually homeless abandoned kittens having kittens. Homeless from being evicted and left behind, homeless from lack of funds to give vet care and alter kittens, homeless from people just not caring. 4/26/24 I've been seeing postings about Ginger Ale and his injured leg. A family took him in this past week. Ginger Ale is another homeless Special Needs kitten. He went to the vet. After x-rays, it was found that he has a bone infection that he was injured as a small kitten. He has a fever will be on antibiotics and pain killers for 6 weeks. At 8 months old, this will be a lifetime of arthritis with a neuro injury. Ginger Ale is a sweet young kitten. Just wanted community know. He is safe.
5/25/24 Update: Ginger Ale is scheduled to be neutered in June. We are accepting adoption applications.
Paddy is an 8 month old Anatolian Shepherd mix with a docked tail. He is calm, has a gentle personality and does well on leash. Crate trained; GWK, GWD, GWK; vaccinated, dewormed and neutered.
Paddy would make an excellent jogging, hiking or camping companion. He doesn't bark unless there is a good reason.

Quailwings Rescue received a Lifesaving Grant from Petco Love
We chose to use the grant money to change the lives of these feral cats in our community during April's Prevention of Cruelty to Animals month.
