Giving a shout out to our cousins at The Westminster Dog Show.
The Clumber Spaniel.
The Clumber Spaniel is a breed of dog of the spaniel type, developed in the United Kingdom. It is the largest of the spaniels, and comes in predominantly white with either lemon or orange markings. It is a gundog that specializes in hunting in heavy cover. They are gentle and loyal, and can act aloof with strangers. They have several habits which could be considered disadvantages, including a constant shedding of its coat, snoring and the production of excessive drool.

Found out today that my clan has bloodlines from Nolan's Last Bullet. Very excited to hear this and can't wait to continue training. Today Gypsy and Jeb worked together, pointed and held on some young birds in my back field. Awesome stuff.

NOLAN'S LAST BULLET

6x American Field 2x American Field Runner up 32x NSTRA Nolan's Last Bullet aka Buddy This Brittany competed in a format that braced him against all pointing breeds and he won more then any other dog.
As of this petition the closest living dog is Stephens Bright Copper a Pointer who at 11Y.O just attained his 25th NSTRA champion matching his sire Crow's Little Joe.

Buddy's American Field wins and progeny record as of Feb 2010 is 150-18-243

Buddy is proof just how great the Brittany can be, as not only did he attain 32x Championships he is sire to 32 NSTRA Championed Brittany's that have a combined total of 112 NSTRA championships. This doesn't include how many total placements of Buddy's progeny there are.

Buddy's Progeny there are 5 that have a total of 7 National NSTRA championships and 3 with National placements.

and 5 grand progeny with NSTRA National Placements

in AKC Buddy has sired 2 Show Champion and 5 FC/AFC and 2 AFC
2 Progeny that have National Placements and a grand Progeny who won the Open and Amateur National Gundog Championships

He has been on the cover of the American Field 8 times. The Quail Unlimited magazine cover twice. The cover of the NSTRA Magazine 9 times. Written up in the American Brittany twice, the Pointing Dog Journal twice, once as a trial win and again as a tribute to Buddy and his brother Clay covering their accomplishments after Buddys passing .

Nolan's Last Bullet aka Buddy opened up many peoples eyes to the wonderful Brittany Breed and Any Brittany who hits the field and wins and wins and wins breaking records and produces progeny who excel in the field also should be supported by the Brittany and bird dog people. Buddy Accomplished what no other pointing breed has done.

For an idea of how NSTRA National trials are handled Nolan's Last Bullet has accomplished all these requirements and his condensed history is as listed

As of this petition the closest living dog is Stephens Bright Copper a Pointer who at 11Y.O just attained his 25th NSTRA champion matching his sire Crow's Little Joe.

The breed was originally bred as a hunting dog and noted for being easy to train and sweet-natured. The breed is generally more sensitive to correction than other hunting breeds, and harsh corrections are often unnecessary. Brittanys are all around sound dogs, as they are excellent family pets as well as working dogs in the field. Brittanys are eager to please, friendly, and sometimes sensitive dogs. They are great with kids. Brittanys are energetic dogs, and need at least an hour of vigorous exercise every day. The dogs are active and require frequent exercise and room to run, and a fenced yard is essential. At least one long walk is required daily to satisfy the needs of most Brittanys, and many Brittanys will need more than this. The Brittany makes an ideal companion for an active owner. The breed sometimes gets a reputation for being crazy or uncontrollable, but these problems are almost invariably due to lack of exercise and training, and are not commonly seen in well cared-for dogs.
Brittanys can become very shy if not thoroughly socialized, and even among well-socialized dogs there is significant variation in levels of friendliness. Socialization is very important, and they must be socialized at a young age. These breeds are easy to train, and are eager to please.
With more American dual champions (dogs with titles in both conformation shows and field trials) than any other breed, the Brittany maintains strong hunting instincts in all bloodlines.

Brittany
A fast-moving and nimble pointing dog, the Brittany was a spaniel or flushing dog only in it's earliest incarnation over a hundred years ago. Now, the Britt points with the best of them, elegant, flowing coat and intense posture noting a pheasant or quail's location for the hunter.

Biddable, affectionate and loyal, the Britt has a soft, beautiful brown and white coat (the brown can range from light to liver in patches or "ticked," even some roan portions) and infectious spirit. Smaller and lower to the ground than many pointing breeds, the Brittany is as maneuverable as a sports car in the fields and forests.

The breed's history begins with English noblemen crossing the Channel to hunt in France. Many left their dogs with French landowners between seasons, and a number of cross-breeds resulted, one in particular mixing the local Fougeres spaniel with English pointers and setters. That dog ultimately was named for it's home ground, Brittany, France.

The Britt is a hard-working gun dog that is also popular as a family member, turning off the "hunt" when it's time to join his master on the couch or at fireside. There is a "French Brittany" that so far has been treated as a separate breed and differs significantly in size and conformation, but like his fellow Britt he too, is a pointer.
