Just 2 working spots left!!

Refusals can be so frustrating! If your dog passes by an obstacle, spins or hesitates or doesn't confidently head to the next obstacle, the judge will call a refusal - and there goes your clean run! Find out how to teach your dog to hold their commitment to an obstacle and learn holding skills to prevent refusals and keep your dog running smoothly through the course.

WORKSHOP JANUARY 4TH!

AKC and UKI agility folks! You're going to love this upcoming workshop at Premier Dog Sports & Event Center, LLC!

Refusals - those darn moments when your dog goes past the jump, a tunnel entrance or a contact - you get them back and have them take it, but it's already a fault. 😔

Or, your dog spins or hesitates as they approach an obstacle - that's a refusal fault again!

Refusals waste a lot of time on course and that little flub can make it hard for you to stay focused and calm as you handle the rest of the course.

As you advance to the upper levels of agility, one refusal means an "NQ" even if the rest of your run was perfect. It can be so frustrating!

Join me for this fun workshop where you will learn the biggest mistakes people make that cause refusals, how to teach your dog to commit to obstacles so you can get ready for the next one, and handling skills to help your dog stay focused on where they are going. Basically, you will learn how to stop getting refusals!

Posting something different today! I don’t think I share enough about what I do here on a daily basis. One of our programs offers day training, where you drop your pupper off for a day of training and fun. This is just a few things I videoed from Monday (we trained more things than showed here, I’ll have to video more next time!)

Molly came for the first time, was introduced to a few dogs, one by one. It’s how proper socialization is done! 🙂 Mera has been here several times before, I knew they be good buddies!

We had a great time at the UKI trial hosted by McCann Professional Dog Trainers!! We loved the flowy, but challenging courses designed by judge Joe Boudreau.

Star had some really great runs, mostly because I threw all caution to the wind and just ran for the fun of it!

We’re starting up Puppy PreSchool classes again! These special small group classes were super popular when we offered them before covid. These classes focus on socialization for young puppies and introducing them to training.

Enrollment is ongoing so that you can start your puppy as soon as possible so they don’t miss that all-critical socialization period. We also offer the AKC Star Puppy certification!

Star won 4th place overall at the AKC International Sweepstakes Championship!!! 🏆 🩷🐾

So far, 2 clean runs, 2 runs with small mistakes, no E’s, competing with 77 dogs at the 20” jump height.
