Please pray for one of our Romans12 families!!
Dewey, a puppy of zydecos, got badly hurt trying to protect his little person from two aggressive dogs.

Dewey’s mom took him l to the vet where it was determined “he likely has a fractured jaw and has several lacerations, particularly one huge one on his neck that he has to stay overnight for to be stitched up.” His kid has a bruise and a few scratches and was shaken up a bit but is okay.

We are so proud of the puppies we breed!
Great job protecting yours, Dewey.
Praying for quick healing!

Unfortunately there is a downside to being a good breeder.
Especially to smaller breed dogs.
As a reputable breeder under the obligation to what is required by the registry you work with, things don’t always come out the way you would imagine or hope.

Yesterday our litter of corgis got their first set of shots and as always, they were all doing well.
This morning, I noticed one of our babies showing signs of an adverse reaction (which is why I always keep and watch them very closely the first couple of hours-days afterwards) and it went down quickly from there.
Shots are very important, I am in no way discrediting that, but simply asking everyone to please be vigilant and aware that, while sometimes rare, adverse reactions do exsist. Especially in smaller breeds.
It is always, always the worst thing to lose an animal, but it somehow hurts worse to lose one you’ve raised by hand since the day you helped their mom bring them into the world.
It’s a totally different kind of loss.
We will love you forever, sweet girl. 🌈 🐾

We have an AKC Golden retriever up for grabs!
She was going to be added to our program, but she does not have the temperament we’re wanting in a breeding program.
She is six months old, up to date on all vaccines and worming.
She has been in the house, but prefers to be outside.
She is good with older kids, wonderful with adults, but would not advise a home with young children to claim her.
She can only go to a pet home with a spay contract.
I do not believe breeding would better the breed in this case which is of the upmost importance.
She would be fantastic for someone single or a family with older kids.
She has A LOT of puppy left in her.

It’s that time!
If you have been following my page a while, you know that every litter we look for one person to receive a free baby from us!
I am hoping in anticipation, some of you may already have someone in mind! 🥰

If you haven’t been here long and would like to know what we look for in the potential candidate, here are some of the circumstances under which we’ve given a puppy.

An elderly lady who had lost her husband and their 15 year old dog in the same week.
A little boy who had a heart transplant.
A cancer nonprofit organization did a raffle for one.

Please reach out to us if you have anyone in mind or if you would potentially like to be a candidate yourself!
We pray over this decision until we feel we have found the best fit, so if you’re not chosen, please do not take offense 💕

Please do you’re research before buying a puppy from a breeder!
The word “breeder” alone will not suffice when you’re choosing from whom to buy a puppy. “Breeder” simply means the person owns a female dog who produced a litter of puppies. If this person isn't knowledgeable about the breed, doesn’t know the breed standard, and isn’t working toward producing dogs who look like the standard and are physically and temperamentally sound, the results, could be unpredictable—or worse.

A sound, reputable breeder will not only be willing to answer all your questions, but will welcome them, have plenty of questions for you as the buyer, and will never ask a deposit without making sure you are completely comfortable.
I am all for breeding, but only to better the breed and create lifelong family companions.

Please make sure you research as much as you can before buying a puppy! I’ve seen so many people heartbroken over what they thought they were getting being the complete opposite and so many puppies tossed to the wind because of bad breeding.
We love our pups here and will always strive to do better and recommend other breeders who do everything they can to ensure you get a healthy, happy, lifelong best friend. 🩷
