It's time to pre-order your 2024 Calendar and 20th Anniversary Book! We are thrilled that we were able to bring you both the 2024 Calendar and 20th Anniversary Book this year!
The 2024 Calendar is an amazing way to support GLGRR year round. This year is no different! There are incredible photos featured for each month. The calendars will be $25 each, which includes shipping.
We received feedback from some of our supporters that they do not use paper calendars anymore so we thought, why not try something new! The 20th Anniversary Book is a great way for us to do that. The book will be 8.5"x8.5" and will feature 18 unique stories. The book would be a great piece for your coffee table, to share with guests and for you to bring some joy after a long day. The 20th Anniversary Books will be $35 each, which includes shipping.

We want to send a huge THANK YOU to all of those who came out to celebrate our 20th birthday yesterday! Although our official birthday isn't until November, it was the perfect time to celebrate. We had amazing weather, great food, fun activities and so much wonderful conversation between fellow Golden lovers. So many GLGRR Goldens were able to attend and having so many Goldens together was definitely one of the highlights! Seeing some of our fosters reunite with Goldens they have adopted out was so special.
We also want to express our gratitude for those who donated to our silent auction and/or donated toward the event!
Lastly, thank you to the volunteers who worked to bring this event to life. It truly was a wonderful day all around!

7/30 UPDATE - Wow, thank you all for the overwhelming response! We have gotten several inquiries from people hoping to be Henry’s foster. At this time, we will be sorting through the inquiries we have already received. Thank you again!!!
We have a very special boy looking for an equally special person. Just look at that puppy face! That’s Henry, a 2-year-old intact male Golden Retriever with lots of love to spare. This handsome, calm, sweet, laidback, playful, loving, and versatile boy will bring light into any loving home. To look at him, you would not know that Henry has a terminal liver disease which will cut his life short. All options have been explored for Henry and unfortunately, nothing can change his prognosis. Considered a GLGRR hospice dog, Henry will need a patient foster mom or dad willing to give him the care he needs for quality of life and be willing to face the time when Henry’s disease will get the best of him. Could that be you?
Henry is on 3 meds and has special food. Henry is a bit quirky and sometimes slow to respond. He is a picky eater, drinks lots of water and therefore consequently needs a bathroom break. Henry loves kids, adults, other dogs, car rides and will want to be out in front for all walks on trails. He loves to chase and wrestle with his current foster sister and will proudly bring you 3 toys in his mouth at once. Another dog in his foster’s home would be preferred. Henry likes to sleep/hide behind chairs. He has no prey drive and is submissive with his dog friends so cats will most likely be alright with proper introduction. Henry likes to retrieve tennis balls in a leisurely fashion and has recently discovered the joy of wading in a lake.
We don’t know how long Henry has, but we are looking for that special someone who will love and care for Henry till the day comes that he crosses the Rainbow Bridge. It truly could be a couple of weeks, but it could be a couple of months.
Henry will remain under GLGRR’s care and will take the lead in decisions related to Henry’s health and wellbeing, as well as cover the costs of all prior-approved medical/health related supplies/services. The hospice foster will need to live in the western side of Michigan. If you have the time, energy, and love to become a hospice foster for Henry, please email [email protected] for further information.

Everyone meet Sawyer! Sawyer is a a 6-month-old English Cream Golden Retriever and is looking for his forever home. Unfortunately, Sawyer was born with a heart defect known as subaortic stenosis. Although this is a serious heart condition, we know that there is a special home out there that will absolutely love to adopt Sawyer! We believe that the power of social media can be so positive and hope that with your shares and comments, Sawyer's forever home will be found.

With one month of 2022 behind us already, we are finally taking the time to recognize all the rescues that we adopted to wonderful families in 2021. Here are our 2021 Adoptees! All of the 39 faces that you see were adopted from GLGRR last year. We are incredibly thankful for our team of volunteers that helped these rescue pups get all the care they need and find their forever family. We are also so grateful for the adoptive families who opened their heart and home to one of our rescue Goldens.
12/22/21 Update: The three Goldens have been FOUND and are safe! Thank you to everyone who has provided tips, shared the post and positive thoughts. The GRRoM (and GLGRR) volunteers are thankful to you all!
12/21/21 Update: We have received a few possible sightings of these girls in the Fowler area. Specifically, there was a report of seeing them on Tallman Rd, just south of Stone Rd this morning. They were also seen this morning on Wright Road north of Stone Road. When the spotters saw the dogs and tried to call them, they went into the woods west of Wright. If spotted, please do not call or chase them and send us a message or call the number below as soon as possible.
12/20/21 Update: It was reported to us that the GRRoM Intake Director received a report that they may have been seen on Wright Road near I-96 W.
PLEASE SHARE - Missing Goldens! We are posting as a courtesy to our friends with Golden Retriever Rescue of Michigan (GRRoM). Three female Goldens, Annabelle, Lucy and Pinky were in the process of being surrendered to GRRoM due to a divorce. Before that transfer could take place, it was reported on 12/14/21 that the husband removed the dogs from the home and that he “dumped” the dogs somewhere between Potterville, MI (west of Lansing) and northward near Carson City, MI. Local authorities and agencies have been notified.
