Sarah and her pup Koda are clients of ours, so we presented her prize during her training session today at her work place. Being able to meet people in different locations, such as work, is one of the best parts of being mobile dog trainers!

TIP FROM OUR TRAINING TEAM
CANINE BODY LANGUAGE: Dogs putting paws on another dog or trying to stand over them
Typically this a dominance gesture. We are talking dogs here, not young pups wrestling around...although this is when they start testing the waters. Example, you are walking your dog in the park and there is another dog approaching (on leash or otherwise). The other dog comes up to your dog, they sniff and the other dog puts their paw on your dog's back and/or tries to stand over them by putting their head over your dog's neck. This isn't a cute, playful gesture (regardless of what the owner says). It's an act of establishing dominance, and depending on the temperament of your dog, this offense could result in an altercation. Of course, if this is a gesture you often see with your dog, it needs to be corrected for the same reason. 🙂

Miss Izzy joined us today for a drop-in day at the facility. We took her to Hobby Lobby for a socialization field trip and she found the perfect sofa!
We offer drop-in days to our clients who are actively enrolled in or who have completed one of our training programs.

Today's new campers 🤩
Ramsey is a 5 1/2 month old Blue Heeler. Bandit is a 4 1/2 month old Pit Bull. Both are starting their first day of a 3 week camp where we work on obedience, socialization and correcting undesirable behaviors such as leash pulling and mouthing. Welcome to the pack cuties!

Two members of our pack made the news at yesterday's Bark in the Park ! Miss Izzy and Miss Bella 🥰 Izzy is the white Cavapoo that wore a grass skirt and coconut bra. Bella is the brown long-haired Chihuahua that wore a Hawaiian shirt that matched her owners. Both were super cute and we just loved their outfits! 👏

We are less than 24 hours from the best dog friendly event in the area....yes, Bark in the Park is happening tomorrow!
Join us at Academy Park from 2-6 PM for this free event that is open to the public. We will have live music, food trucks, vendors galore and two local dog rescues offering adoption opportunities. Oh yes, and the Hawaiian Shirt Canine Costume Contest!
We are so excited to be partnering with SweetBay for this fun event!

Just a girl and her dog 💞
For mother's day, this little girl's mom brought her a long distance to meet her service dog for the first time. Benny has been training with us for a week and one of the first things we started working on is loose leash walking. This is the result... pretty darn great for an 10 week old puppy and a 4 year old girl.

Join our fast-growing pack here at Dog Training Elite! Our team is looking for a friendly, detail-oriented person with a passion for helping our Brand grow and ensuring our users operate to the highest potential on the systems/tools provided.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Create and manage user accounts and permissions on various brand-wide systems, including the CRM, G-Suite, Twilio, LearningZen and DogStar DMS
• Document and communicate user account details per franchise to the billing department for accurate Tech Fee billing
• Provide support on user system issues as they arise
• Manage various pilot and Beta programs to improve systems as needed, identifying key regional participants, and gathering feedback to determine a brand-wide fit
• Plan, develop, and conduct individual and group training related to brand-wide systems
• Monitor system production to ensure compliance and quality
• Develop documents and videos for automated system procedures, manuals, and requirements
• Promote a culture of feedback and communication as we work to improve processes
• Help identify process improvements
• Help implement process changes
• Create, enhance, and improve various documents and videos on a bi-lingual scale
• Coordinate projects with other team members as needed
Salary: $44,000 with potential increase after 90-day review

If you would like your own mini A-Frame like the one we have at our facility (see photos/video in this post), let us know. The guy that makes ours is taking orders now with about a 2 week lead time. They are made of high quality plywood, but are still light weight enough for easy transport. We take this one to events. They are fully adjustable to fit your dog's skill level. Weight load is up to a 50 lb dog. Price $100.
Look at that recall... and off-leash! 👏 Oreo is a 5 month old Doodle enrolled in our Elite Puppy Platinum Obedience Program and has been training with us for a couple months.

After a full day of obedience training at our Elite Training Camp, the pups got to enjoy some supervised recreation time together this afternoon. Socialization with other dogs is very important, so we introduce them to each other slowly and build up to what is shown here. With trainers Anthony and Josh watching closely, the dogs had a great pack play!
Teaching Grace, a 4 month old Golden Retriever, to do the A-frame today at camp. She loves it so much! Grace is enrolled in our 4 week camp and just started week 2. You're doing great little Gracie 🤩
Today's pack walk (i.e. group class) was at the St Patty's Day celebration in Downtown Panama City and the Panama City Farmers Market. It was a fun day! Check out how well everyone did!!

Try not to focus on the sexy pink bicycle, but instead on the dog. This was Gus' first bicycle ride and he did everything perfectly. Why? Because I have been preparing him for this for a year. This wasn't a short little ride either. We were out there for 3 hours! Most people believe that just because we are dog trainers we must have all the time in the world to train our dogs. We don't... but we make time. To get Gus to this point took lots of hard work....on his part and mine. Work such as managing the DNA of this Australian Cattle Dog and his tendency to herd tires. We also worked on mastering his heel. At the end of the video, pay attention to how he is paying attention to me and moving behind me so that I can take care of the bike. None of this happens overnight, but with consistency you can get there too. It's not magic but it is magical when things start to come together. I started working with Gus when he was 8 weeks old...he is now 16 months. Happy training guys! Tina

Day 1 of Elite Training Camp for Shady Shady came to us because his owners needed help with his extreme leash pulling and excessive barking. Our trainer Anthony worked with him this morning and this is what happened after a half day of camp. Solid 💯
Today's group class(es).....due to the rain, we ended up with two smaller groups! One at the Salty Dog Day Festival and the other at our training facility. Great job guys on committing to your dog's training regardless of the weather!
Working off leash with Piper and Gus today. With so many distractions, adding distance and duration to obedience commands and getting a solid recall... that's advanced obedience. Nice job 💯
