We are still alive! As many of you know we are in the dreaded off breeding season. Crested geckos are going slow. BUT! We had a random leopard gecko lay and one egg was infertile. The other egg however has grown 3 times it's original size! It's bigger than a robin egg! Hoping to see what hatched out in the next couple weeks. Twins would be cool! 🤞

Feeling very happy this morning. Our crested mother laid 2 dented eggs earlier this week and it's times like that you feel like a failure. One of them was shaped like a hot dog bun! But rather than give up on the 2 unborn babies I got proactive with the situation. They laid in vermiculite for the past few days and today they graduated to our regular hatching trays! Hope to see them in the next 70 to 120 days!

Expo yesterday. Today cleaned out everyone's enclosures, checked for eggs, made crested gecko food, weighed and fed everyone. Time to relazzzzzz

Oh what a long but happy ending to the last 60 days! First gecko born here at Gecko Realm! The last week we have peeked in multiple times a day waiting for this little girl to emerge from her egg and today was that day!

ORMR started as a ball python breeding project. Over the past months we have had very little success over the past 3 years getting our pythons going. Saturday we made the hard decision to sell our snakes to good homes. However during this period we discussed leopard geckos and how much work is still left to be discovered with their genetics so we are officially changing our name and moving forward with a lot of excitement! Here's to Gecko Realm!

Phase 2 and 3 of mealworm breeding progressing rapidly! I'm pulling 50 cocoons out a day and we now have close to 20 beetles!
